Benjamin Netanyahu will not commit to implementing the second phase of the agreement between Israel and Hamas, according to anonymous sources quoted by Haaretz.

One of these sources reportedly confided that the Israeli PM intends to refuse to commit Israel to fulfilling its obligations in the second phase of the hostage and cease-fire agreement, namely complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the Philadelphia Corridor, without achieving this goal. Furthermore, Israeli officials hope that the second-phase negotiations will lead to a broader process of regional normalization, the source added.
