The South Lebanon Water Authority, in a statement, said that it continued the process of assessing the damage to its infrastructure caused by Israeli bombings that targeted the region during the war and after the cease-fire, in the villages and towns it can reach.
The authority added that it continued to deliver 10,000-liter water trucks to the border villages and towns where residents have returned. Approximately 45 water trucks are planned for the first phase, which is expected to be completed the same day.
The villages included in these deliveries are:
Sour district: Naqoura, Yarine, Marwahin.
Bint Jbeil district: Ramieh, Aita al-Shaab, Yaroun, Maroun al-Ras, Aitaroun.
Marjayoun district: Blida, Mhaibib, Mais al-Jabal, Markaba, Rab al-Thalathine, Houla, Odaisseh, Kfar Kila and Khiam.
The authority also stated that it was conducting these operations based on its priorities and several factors related to the levels of destruction, the number of active subscribers, and the state of reservoirs and pipelines. Completely destroyed buildings are disconnected from the network, while those whose owners have returned are reconnected as a priority.
The authority also said that it is inspecting, repairing, or even replacing the generators to which its facilities are connected, to operate the water stations and wells in the villages.
