Air France had ceased operations to Beirut following the simultaneous explosion of pagers reportedly used by Hezbollah across Lebanon on Sept. 17.

"This resumption and the continuation of operations will remain subject to a regular assessment of the situation on site," said Air France.

Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of the Franco-Dutch group Air France-KLM, will resume its flights between Paris-Orly and Tel Aviv on Jan. 28 with three flights a week initially, to reach up to seven weekly flights in the long term.

Transavia, the low-cost carrier owned by the Air France-KLM group, plans to resume flights between Paris-Orly and Tel Aviv on Jan. 28. Initially offering three flights per week, the airline aims to increase to seven weekly flights over time.

Transavia also pledged to prioritize the resumption of its Paris-Orly to Beirut service. "Transavia France is also doing everything possible to resume its routes between Paris-Orly and Beirut as soon as possible," the company statement read.

The announcements come amid a six-week truce following 15 months of war in Gaza. A cease-fire agreement took effect on Sunday, allowing for the first exchange of hostages and Palestinian detainees. Four Israeli hostages in Gaza are expected to be freed by Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lufthansa announced last Thursday that it would resume flights to Tel Aviv from Feb. 1, while maintaining the suspension of routes to Tehran and Beirut.
