Sahar Ghaddar, who identifies as an activist on social media, was summoned once more on Tuesday by the Cybercrime Bureau, where she plans to appear during the day without providing further details on the time, as part of a complaint filed last December by the Lebanese channel MTV.

Ghaddar announced Monday night on X that she had "once again been summoned by the Cybercrime Bureau, following a complaint filed by MTV, as had happened previously." She then assured that she "would go because she trusts the institutions and justice of the country," as she did in mid-December. At that time, she had been summoned and released a few hours later. "During the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, I positioned myself where every free and dignified patriot stands, while MTV sided with the opposite side," Sahar Ghaddar wrote on X. "The aggression ceased, but the channel's attack on the national opinion did not end. So, I was summoned by the Bureau following a complaint filed by the channel."

While Lebanon has been the scene of a major conflict between Israel and Hezbollah since October 2023, marked from September 2024 by intense bombings against South Lebanon, the southern suburbs of Beirut and the Bekaa, Sahar Ghaddar and several other activists have been implicated in the same way. The MTV channel, known for its opposition to the Shiite party, claimed in this context to have filed a complaint against 37 people, including Sahar Ghaddar.
