Eight weeks after the cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah came into effect, the Israeli army continues to target homes in southern Lebanon, particularly in several neighborhoods of Mais al-Jabal (Marjayoun district) by demolishing them with explosives.
Israeli soldiers carried out at least five explosions on Friday morning, dynamiting several residential houses in the area, reports our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Movements of Israeli tanks and military vehicles have been observed through the village neighborhoods, while operations are ongoing in Mais al-Jabal, a locality that was bombarded almost daily by the Israeli army during the war. Israeli drones continually hover over the airspace of villages and towns in the southern part of the country.
Despite a 60-day cease-fire concluded on Nov. 27, 2024, between Hezbollah and Israel, following a conflict of more than a year and two months, the Israeli army continues to blow up homes in southern Lebanon, conduct operations and occupy a part of the territory.
