In recent weeks, warnings have mounted about the likelihood of Turkish military intervention against Kurdish factions in northeastern Syria. On Tuesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made Ankara's position clear: "We will do what is necessary," he said in an interview with CNN Türk, raising the specter of an "anti-terrorist" operation unless Kurdish forces in Syria comply with Turkish demands.
