The Lebanese Army said in a statement Thursday that "while an army patrol was conducting a reconnaissance mission in the Wadi al-Aswad area on the outskirts of the town of Yanta – Rashaya near the Lebanese-Syrian border, unidentified gunmen from the Syrian side opened fire on the patrol."
