On Thursday, Hezbollah denounced the destruction of a building housing the premises of a children's TV channel, Taha TV, which broadcasts religious content. The channel's affiliation with the party is not clearly mentioned on its website or by Hezbollah.
The building, whose address was not disclosed by Hezbollah or on the channel's website, is located in the Kafaat district of Hadath, according to our correspondent Mountasser Abdallah. The building was destroyed in one of the Israeli strikes that took place shortly after 3 a.m. in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Taha TV is described on the channel's website as a medium aimed at children aged two to 14 that “respects Islamic values while working to develop children's creativity.”
The party called on international and Arab children's rights associations to condemn the strike that targeted the channel, describing it as an action “committed against childhood.”
