BEIRUT — After the election of Donald Trump as the U.S. president, some Lebanese people took to social media to react to Trump's win. The 47th president of the U.S. has promised that he would "end the war in Lebanon and bring peace" if he got re-elected while visiting a Lebanese restaurant in Michigan last week.
One user posted a photoshopped photo of Trump at Agha restaurant in Beirut which sells falafel, Lebanese wraps and cocktails and captioned it, "Trump after the Arabs in Michigan voted for him."

Lebanese fortuneteller Leila Abdel Latif had predicted that Kamala Harris, former vice president to Joe Biden, would win the presidential nomination and the presidency. After her prediction failed, a user posted a video of Abdel Latif dancing energetically and wrote,"Leila Abdel Latif after her prediction failed."
Trump's son-in-law Michel Boulos, who married Tiffany Trump in 2022, is Lebanese. A user wrote, "Trump, my precious, don't forget that your son-in-law is Lebanese, don't forget about us," in reference to Trump's repeated promises that he will end the war in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah that escalated on Sept. 23.
A user posted a photo of three men, seen to be standing eating seeds with the caption, "Arabs after the U.S. election drama knowing whoever gets elected is gonna bomb their region anyway."
