The Israeli army blew up and destroyed several buildings in the border village of Meis el-Jabal overnight from Saturday to Sunday, as it advanced in the area in recent days, according to information from local sources reported by our correspondent Mountasser Abdallah. Houses in the village of Ramiyé were similarly blown up in the Bint Jbeil district on Sunday morning.
According to our correspondent, soldiers detonated residential buildings in several border villages, including in a neighborhood of Mais al-Jabal in the Marjayoun district, where a school was destroyed. The Israeli army also razed a cemetery in the village of Blida, in the same district.
These destructions have become systematic since the start of Israel's ground offensive in Lebanon, which, in the past two weeks, has razed Yaroun and detonated its mosque after rigging it with explosives, and completely leveled the village of Mhaybib using the same methods.
Overnight, Israeli airstrikes also targeted the city of Nabatieh with seven raids. The city’s souks were recently ravaged, and on Thursday, around 15 strikes targeted, among other sites, the Serail, where the municipal emergency cell was meeting. The moukhtar of the city was killed along with fifteen other people.
The Israeli army also conducted a series of nighttime strikes on villages along the border and appeared to advance on the ground near Shebaa in the Hasbaya district, where soldiers were attacked by Hezbollah, according to the party. The Israeli army claims to be targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in these operations.
