The raids have reportedly included "incursions into Hezbollah's tunnels situated along the border and have occurred recently as well as over the course of the past several months, as part of a broader effort by Israel to diminish the group's military capabilities along the Israel-Lebanon border," sources told the WSJ.

"The timing of any ground action could change," the WSJ quoted the sources as saying. "Israel is under heavy pressure from the U.S. not to carry out a major invasion. It wasn't immediately clear how long Israel would aim to hold territory, or whether the incursion would be more like a series of larger raids."
