BEIRUT — The municipality of Kahaleh (Aley district) denied a report that claimed Israel dropped leaflets in the village, asking residents to evacuate their homes within two hours.
The report, which was published by Saudi channel Al-Hadath, said that the leaflets were dropped on the Beirut-Damascus highway.
Contacted by L'Orient Today, the municipality said that these are "lies."
Israel has been calling residents in Lebanon, mainly in the South and the Bekaa, to leave their homes "used by Hezbollah to store weapons."
Israeli airstrikes killed more than 569 people in the past few days in different areas in the country. Last week, deadly pager and radio explosions occurred across Lebanon and an Israeli airstrike on the Southern suburbs of Beirut killed senior Hezbollah commanders.
