The chief commander of the Israeli army announced late Monday night that its operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon is named "Northern Arrows" and stated that 1,600 "Hezbollah positions" have been targeted since Monday morning.
During the massive strikes launched since dawn Monday, which resulted in nearly 500 deaths, 1,600 Hezbollah positions, including rocket launch pads and military buildings, were hit in successive waves of strikes, according to Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee. These "terrorist targets" were located "in southern Lebanon and in the Bekaa Valley, deep within Israeli territory."
