Olympic Games: Lynn El-Hajj, 17, 100 m breaststroke: 'I'm going to give it my all in Paris'

The Lebanese swimming champion posted a personal best time of 1min 09s 67, just a few seconds off the world record of 1min 04s 13 set by American Lilly King in 2017.

She has just flown to France, where she will be Lebanon's sole female representative at the Paris 2024 Olympic Swimming Games. Lynn el-Hajj, 17 years old and already Lebanese champion and record-holder in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke, is finally fulfilling a dream she has had since childhood: To take part in the Olympics and measure herself against the world's biggest names in the sport. Her aim is to give it her all. She has unforgettable memories of her first major international competition in Japan, at the World Aquatics Championships – Fukuoka 2023. “It was enormous! And then to meet those champions,” she recalled.
