The Lebanese Health Ministry has published its latest numbers on the war in southern Lebanon between Hezbollah and Israel, covering the period from Oct. 8, 2023 to Tuesday, June 11, 2024. It counts 1,686 victims, with 414 killed and 410 wounded who had to be hospitalized.

However, it still does not differentiate between combatants and civilians killed. According to a count by L'Orient Today, the members of Hezbollah and Amal killed in over seven months of war were 334, including those killed in Lebanon and Syria. This tally has not changed since Wednesday.

Of the total number of victims, both dead and wounded, the Health Ministry reports that 86% were men, 94% Lebanese, and 57% between the ages of 25 and 44. Of the injuries recorded, 44% were due to trauma caused by Israeli bombardment, 35% to explosions, and 16% to exposure to chemicals. These proportions have changed slightly since the last report.

The Ministry's figures also include the number of people displaced from their homes in the conflict zones, citing the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the number has risen to 94,126 since the start of the conflict, according to a count up to May 30.
