Austria has announced that it will resume funding for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), which it suspended after Israeli accusations that employees may have been involved in the Oct. 7 attack, AFP reports.
"After analyzing in detail the action plan to improve the organization's operation," Austria has decided to "release the funds," according to a statement from the Austrian Foreign Ministry.

Gaza's Health Ministry has announced a new death toll of 35,386 in the enclave since the start of the war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement on Oct. 7, AFP reports.
Over the past 24 hours, at least 83 more deaths were recorded, according to a statement from the ministry, which added that 79,366 people had been wounded in more than seven months of war.
British security firm Ambrey says it has received information that a Panama-flagged crude oil tanker was attacked approximately 10 nautical miles southwest of Yemen's Mokha.

Here's what happened at the Lebanese-Israeli border last night, according to security sources relayed by our correspondent in the south:
* Hezbollah announced that it fired artillery shells on an Israeli vehicle as it was entering the "Malikiyah site," facing the Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab, at 11:10 p.m.
* Israeli warplanes carried out three raids at midnight targeting the southwestern entrance to the village of Khiam (Marjayoun district) without causing casualties.

London has announced that a load of British aid has "successfully" been delivered to the Gaza coast … along with aid from the United States and the United Arab Emirates’ via the Cypriot maritime corridor. France adds that a Navy vessel from Cyprus, carrying 60 tons of aid, is being unloaded on the American pontoon.
In Gaza, "more than 300 pallets of humanitarian aid" have been unloaded, the first to enter via the temporary American "floating jetty" moored on the coast of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army said in a statement. Hamas, meanwhile, stressed in a statement that "no aid route, including the floating jetty, is an alternative to the routes under Palestinian supervision."

As violence continues to escalate in the occupied West Bank amid the war in Gaza, a local leader of the armed wing of Islamic Jihad in Jenin has been killed by an Israeli airstrike, the Islamist movement announced this morning, confirming information from the Israeli army and the Palestinian government.
Islam Khamayseh was killed in the Israeli strike, which also wounded eight people, AFP reports.
