The Israeli army claimed Sunday evening to have killed "an important commander of the anti-tank missile unit" of Hezbollah's al-Radwan force. The claim came via a post published on X by Arabic-speaking Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee.

"The air force targeted a car in Kounin driven by saboteur Ismail Ali Zayn, an important commander in the anti-tank missile unit" of Hezbollah, Adraee wrote. This man "was considered a leader of the al-Radwan force" and responsible for "numerous sabotage operations" using anti-tank missiles, he added.

Earlier Sunday, a security source told our correspondent in south Lebanon that an Israeli drone had fired two missiles at a car in Kounin (Bint Jbeil district), killing the vehicle's driver.

Hezbollah confirmed in the evening the death of Ismail Ali Zayn, born in 1980 in Kabrikha, southern Lebanon. But the party did not say what his rank was or whether or not he was a "commander."

On Sunday morning, the Israeli air force also targeted an area between Khiam, Taibeh and Rab al-Talatine (Marjayoun district) with missiles, a security source told our correspondent. Two houses were destroyed, and two people were reportedly wounded in Khiam. The wounded were transferred to a hospital in the region, the source added.

In the Bekaa Valley, no Israeli strikes were recorded today. However, Israeli drones and reconnaissance aircraft were seen flying over Zahleh and Baalbeck, according to our correspondent in the region, Sarah Abdallah.

Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for several attacks on Israel on Sunday. The party announced that at 12.15 p.m. it attacked, with artillery shells, the Israeli barracks in Ramim, opposite the south Lebanon village of Markaba, in the Marjayoun district.

Hezbollah also announced that at 1.18 p.m., it targeted the Malikiyeh site, opposite Aitaroun (Bint Jbeil). Then, at 3.45 p.m., the parry said it carried out two attacks, on the Zebdine and Rouaissat el-Alam sites, located in the Shebaa farms and Kfar Shuba heights, respectively. Lastly, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack that "destroyed spy equipment" at the Israeli base at Jardah, near the town of Dhairah in the Marjayoun district.

Quoting the Israeli army, the Israeli news outlet Haaretz reported that a soldier had been slightly wounded by Hezbollah fire in Margaliot, a town in northern Israel.
