Free access to archaeological sites for civil servants, military personnel and their families

BEIRUT — Caretaker Culture Minister Mohammad Mortada announced on Monday that access to Beirut's National Museum and archaeological sites will be free for civil servants, serving and retired military personnel and their immediate families every first Saturday of the month. He did not specify a start or end date.

In a statement, Mortada said that a document attesting to their profession and family relationship must be presented at those sites to obtain free entry.

In recent years, the Ministry of Culture has repeatedly announced free entry to museums and archaeological sites in Lebanon.
