Fuel prices rise sharply

BEIRUT — Fuel prices in Lebanon increased sharply on Tuesday morning, according to the latest tariffs announced by the Energy Ministry.

The Lebanese lira on Tuesday morning also hit a record low on the parallel market, trading at above LL130,000 to the dollar.

Here are the new prices:

• Twenty liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL2,334,000, up by LL164,000

• Twenty liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL2,390,000, up by LL168,000

• Twenty liters of diesel: LL2,192,000, up by LL140,000

• Gas cylinder: LL1,538,000, up by LL93,000

• One kiloliter of fuel oil (used to supply private generators): at $784.27, down by $10.28
