BEIRUT — Internal Security Forces announced on Saturday that they arrested two people suspected of running over and killing a man over a family feud.
In a statement, the ISF said that on Jan. 29 the body of the victim, a Syrian man, was found in the area of Marj Zuhour in Hasbaya, Bekaa, after being run over while riding his motorbike.
Authorities arrested the two suspects, A. Sh. and Q. Sh., in Bar Elias in the Bekaa Valley, while they were on the run, the ISF added. The men reportedly confessed to luring the victim onto a public road before running him over "due to prior family conflicts."
The ISF did not specify what the family dispute was about nor how the suspects and the victim were related.
The two suspects were transferred to the judiciary.
