BEIRUT — Two people were injured after clashes broke out Wednesday in the Rashidieh Palestinian refugee camp near Sour as part of a longstanding dispute between two families, a Palestinian official source in the camp told L'Orient Today.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added that the clashes renewed between the Chamoun and Safadi families due to a dispute over a member of the Chamoun family having killed a Safadi family member three years ago.

The Chamoun family member was reportedly jailed following the killing but was released earlier this week.

Clashes also broke out between the two families Monday morning after the Safadi family fired at the released Chamoun man's house as they called for his departure from the camp.
