BEIRUT — The United Kingdom Ambassador to Lebanon Hamish Cowell on Tuesday called on the Lebanese authorities to “implement urgent reforms” in order to reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, during a meeting with Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati.

Here’s what we know:

    • The British embassy released a statement saying that the UK is committed to continuing its “support to the Lebanese Armed Forces and to the most vulnerable living in Lebanon.”
