BEIRUT — Firefighters battled a blaze at a hospital run by the international NGO Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières/MSF) in Bar Elias, in the Bekaa Valley, late Wednesday night. The patients were evacuated, with no injuries reported.

• The Lebanese Civil Defense said in a tweet that firefighters from "more than seven" of its centers were working to put out the fire.
• An MSF spokesperson told L'Orient Today as of 12:30 a.m. Thursday that the fire had been controlled, adding, "The patients and staff are safe and were evacuated. Patients were transferred to other hospitals.
• No information was immediately available on the cause of the fire.
