BEIRUT — The Health Ministry announced that a Pfizer Marathon will take place the upcoming weekend for Lebanese citizens and residents alike over the age of 12 years.
Here is what we know:
• The marathon will take place on December 11 and 12 from 8 am until 3 pm, the NNA reported. Those registered on IMPACT’s vaccination platform are asked to bring proof of their registration.
• As for those who are not registered, they must bring any of the following supporting documents: ID card, passport, individual record, a residence certificate from the municipality or any other identification document, and the vaccination center will assist in registration.
• Four days ago, Lebanon’s Order of Nurses warned against a “renewed danger” of COVID-19 amid an increase in positive cases and hospitalizations in recent weeks.
• Earlier this month, the government’s health committee announced a curfew for unvaccinated people from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Dec. 17 and Jan. 9.
• The committee also decided to make full vaccination mandatory for public sector employees. Additionally, Health and Education ministries launched the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in public schools yesterday, the NNA reported.
