Ahmad Hasan al-Rubaye is an Iraqi researcher in geography, history, and political science from Baghdad. He has lived in Paris since 2020. He previously worked in the Iraqi press, notably as editor-in-chief of the al-Alam al-Jadid website and director of the Amarchi Center for Research Development from 2015 to 2023. He continues to publish widely in the Iraqi press, including the "al-Mada" and "al-Sabah" newspapers, as well as on research platforms and French academic journals, including the "Hypothèses" blog, affiliated with Inalco. His research focuses primarily on the state and society, political violence, and transformations in contemporary Iraq.
