India says 10 rescued, one missing after vessel attacked off Oman

India said on Sunday that 11 of its nationals were on a vessel that was struck in waters east of Oman, as Iran and the United States traded attacks.

"Of the 11 Indian nationals on board, 10 have been rescued so far, while one Indian national is reportedly missing," New Delhi's foreign ministry said in a statement.

Crew abandons burning vessel hit by Iran in Strait of Hormuz

The crew of the container ship struck by Iranian fire in the Strait of Hormuz abandoned the burning vessel, the U.K. Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency said Sunday morning.

According to UKMTO, the attack occurred about 9 nautical miles (17 kilometers/10.5 miles) east of Oman's Musandam Peninsula and sparked a fire aboard the vessel.

"The crew abandoned the ship and boarded a lifeboat," the agency said.

"The United States is imposing a heavy cost by continuing to degrade Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the strait," CENTCOM claimed after announcing its attacks on Iran, adding that the strikes were being carried out at the direction of President Donald Trump.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said: "Iran made a poor choice. Now they pay."

UAE attacked, air sirens sound in Bahrain, explosions heard in Qatar

Iranian attacks hit the United Arab Emirates, the country's Defense Ministry said Sunday.

Authorities in Bahrain activated air sirens, while AFP journalists in Qatar reported hearing explosions in Doha.

In Doha, an AFP journalist witnessed aerial interceptions over the southern part of the city, while residents received emergency alerts on their phones instructing them to remain sheltered.

US says it struck 140 Iranian military targets Saturday

U.S. forces completed a third round of strikes this week against Iran, the Central Command said late on Saturday in a post on X.

They hit approximately 140 Iranian military targets on Saturday, the Central Command said, and added that the targets included Iranian missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, ammunition storage facilities, communication networks, and coastal surveillance locations.

During three nights of strikes this week, U.S. forces have struck more than 300 targets, the military added in its statement.

Pakistan FM calls for 'restraint' in call with Iran counterpart

Pakistan's top diplomat called for "de-escalation" and for parties in the Iran war to "show restraint" during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart on Sunday, a foreign ministry statement said.

"Both leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation," Pakistan's foreign ministry said in a statement after the call between Ishaq Dar and Abbas Araghchi.

Dar "further underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region," it said.

Jordan army says three Iranian missiles fell inside country

Jordan's army said Sunday that three Iranian missiles fell on its territory at dawn.

"The damage is limited to minor material losses," said a military source quoted in an army statement.
