Why did the Israeli army withdraw from Debbine in South Lebanon?
The withdrawal, which took place Thursday just hours after Lebanon and Israel announced reaching a "cease-fire" agreement in Washington, is apparently not part of the deal, says an ex-Lebanese officer.

The Israeli withdrawal from the village of Debbine (Marjayoun) on Thursday, a few hours after the announcement of a "cease-fire" agreement reached in Washington, is due to logistical reasons following a demand by the Lebanese Army, a security source and Lebanese retired General Khalil Gemayel told L'Orient Today on Friday, the latter adding that this withdrawal is "in principle, not related to the 'pilot zones' mentioned in the 'cease-fire.'"In Lebanon, both Hezbollah and their ally, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, rejected the agreement in question, as Israeli strikes continue unabated across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa, as well as Hezbollah attacks.
