Israeli strikes hit southern Lebanon once again
Israeli warplanes carried out new strikes Thursday on the villages of Yohmor al-Shaqif and Debbine in Marjayoun district, and Kafra in Bint Jbeil district.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for two additional attacks targeting Israeli vehicles and a newly established Israeli position in the occupied village of Odaisseh, in Marjayoun district, using two exploding drones.
The group also said it carried out a third drone attack against Israeli soldiers stationed in the village of Arab Luwaizeh.
70-year-old man missing after Israeli strike on home in Burj Qalaway
The family of Hamid Mohammad Touba, 70, has appealed to the Lebanese Army to launch a search operation after he went missing following an Israeli airstrike on his home, according to our correspondent.
All contact with Touba has been lost since 10 a.m. Wednesday, when an Israeli strike targeted his house in the village of Burj Qalaway, in Bint Jbeil district.
Despite requests submitted to the Israeli army through the Mechanism, Israel has not authorized troops to conduct search operations in the village.
Nabatieh Civil Defense suspends operations in Nabatieh Fawqa ‘due to the enemy’s advance’
The Nabatieh Civil Defense organization announced Thursday that it had been forced to suspend its operations in Nabatieh Fawqa, while noting that its rescue teams remain present in the city of Nabatieh, farther north.
“The South is now synonymous with mourning. With the enemy’s advance toward neighboring areas, movement has become impossible under the eyes of an occupier who makes no distinction between civilians, rescue workers or other targets. And with the intensification of the destructive machine’s madness, rescue teams are no longer able to reach the sites of attacks in Nabatieh Fawqa,” the organization said in a statement.
“Because human life is worth more than stone, and after 90 days of resistance and tireless work, amidst and under fire, we were forced, with regret, to withdraw all vehicles from the Nabatieh regional center,” the statement added.
“We testify before you, dear residents, that we gave everything possible without ever faltering. God has decided it so. Until a future meeting that will bring us all together in Nabatieh Fawqa.”
Two more killed by Israeli drone strike near Sour
An Israeli drone strike killed two people riding a motorcycle in the town of Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain, on the outskirts of Sour, according to our correspondent.
The strike brings the number of people killed in Israeli attacks across Lebanon on Thursday to 25, according to our count.
Israeli strikes over the past two hours also targeted the towns of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr in the Sour district; Ebba, Doueir and Yohmor al-Shaqif in the Nabatieh district; and Debbine and Blat in the Marjayoun district.
Missiles were also fired toward Israeli positions in southern Lebanon, our correspondent reported.
Iran denies finalizing any agreement with the United States
Iranian news agency Tasnim reported Thursday that the text of a potential memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States has not yet been finalized or approved.
Citing a source close to the negotiating team, Tasnim said Tehran had not informed the Pakistani mediator that the text was complete and would notify both the mediator and the public once it was finalized.
The agency added that reports in some Western media outlets, claiming that an agreement had already been concluded, were false.
Israeli media say Hezbollah commander targeted south of Beirut survived assassination attempt
The assassination attempt carried out Thursday afternoon by the Israeli army in Choueifat, south of Beirut, against a Hezbollah member “failed,” according to Israel’s Channel 14.
The target was reportedly Ali Husseini, described by the channel as commander of Hezbollah’s missile unit.
Earlier, the Israeli army said it had carried out “a precise strike in the Beirut area.”
The strike, which hit a residential building, killed a woman and her newborn baby and wounded a third person.
Health Ministry reports 55 deaths, 187 injuries from Israeli strikes in past 24 hours
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said in its daily report Thursday that 3,324 people have been killed and 10,027 wounded by Israeli attacks since the resumption of the war on March 2.
The latest figures represent an increase of 55 deaths and 187 injuries over the past 24 hours. The ministry’s previous toll stood at 3,269 killed and 9,840 wounded.
According to a preliminary count by L’Orient-Le Jour based on information from our correspondents, at least 23 people were killed Thursday in ongoing Israeli strikes, including 21 in southern Lebanon.
Israeli army says Hezbollah activity prompted strikes near Qaraoun Dam
The Israeli army said Thursday that its strikes near the Qaraoun Dam earlier this week targeted Hezbollah members allegedly attempting to damage what it described as “strategic infrastructure for the Lebanese state.”
According to the Israeli military, Hezbollah operatives were identified earlier this week “attempting to disrupt operations at the Qaraoun Dam,” which it described as a “national and strategic infrastructure for the Lebanese state.” The army said it carried out an airstrike against those individuals.
However, those killed in Tuesday’s two Israeli drone strikes near the dam included Lebanese Army soldier Saleh Souni.
Two rescuers from the Islamic Mission Scouts association, al-Rissala, were later killed in a second strike after arriving at the scene to provide assistance.
The Israeli army stressed that the Qaraoun Dam is a “national infrastructure of great strategic importance for Lebanon,” describing it as the country’s largest water source and a central hub for energy, electricity, and agriculture.
“People of Lebanon, the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which has led your country to ruin, attempted to attack a strategic national infrastructure,” the statement added.
Hezbollah claims 14 attacks on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon

Hezbollah said Thursday that it had carried out 14 attacks against Israeli soldiers, vehicles and positions in eight occupied Lebanese villages.
Six of the attacks targeted Israeli troops north of the Litani River, where Israeli forces are reportedly expanding their ground offensive in southern Lebanon after taking control of the village of Zawtar al-Sharqieh.
Several reports indicated that Israeli troops were advancing toward Beaufort Castle, a strategic position south of Nabatieh. Hezbollah also said Israeli forces had entered the village of Yohmor al-Shaqif, below the fortress, which was targeted by airstrikes according to images published by Reuters.
Hezbollah said it targeted:
- A bulldozer in Qusseir, in Marjayoun district, with a rocket barrage at 12:30 a.m.
- A gathering of military vehicles in Zawtar al-Sharqieh, in Nabatieh district, with rockets at 2 a.m.
- Another group of vehicles in Qantara, in Marjayoun district, with rockets at 4:15 a.m.
- A building housing Israeli soldiers in Zawtar al-Sharqieh with a “heavy missile” at 4:30 a.m.
- An armored vehicle in Qantara with a suicide drone at 8:45 a.m.
- Two Merkava tanks in Zawtar al-Sharqieh with two suicide drones at 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
- Vehicles in Rshaf, in Bint Jbeil district, with rockets at 10:30 a.m.
- The Israeli military site known as “Blat,” near Aitaroun in Bint Jbeil district, with a “sophisticated missile” at 1:40 p.m.
- A gathering of vehicles in Bayyada, in Sour district, with rockets at 2:30 p.m., followed by artillery fire at 2:40 p.m.
- Additional vehicles in Shamaa, in Sour district, with artillery fire at 2:45 p.m.
- More vehicles in Zawtar al-Sharqieh with rockets at 5:20 p.m.
- A group of soldiers and vehicles in Yohmor al-Shaqif with a missile barrage at 5:20 p.m.
Israeli army says it has killed about 2,500 Hezbollah fighters since February
The Israeli army said Thursday that it has killed about 2,500 Hezbollah fighters since the launch of "Operation Lion’s Roar" in February 2026, including 800 since the cease-fire took effect on April 17.
The army also said that intelligence operations and a series of strikes carried out over the past two weeks had killed several Hezbollah “field commanders.”
In its statement, the military specifically mentioned the commander of the Khiam and Jibsheet sectors, an intelligence officer in the Shebaa Valley, and officials from engineering units in the Yater and Jwayya sectors.
Salam condemns Israeli strikes on Sour and Nabatieh: ‘Nothing can justify’ these attacks
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam strongly condemned the Israeli attacks targeting the Sour and Nabatieh regions, saying that “nothing can justify the ongoing attacks on the Sour and Nabatieh regions, nor the destruction of their historical monuments.”
He also denounced threats against civilians and evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army, describing them as “collective punishment condemned by all international norms and laws.”
Salam called for an “immediate cease-fire,” the complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the restoration of state authority across the country to allow displaced people to return “in safety and dignity.”
“We are continuing to mobilize all Arab and international support to achieve this,” he added. “It is our national duty and an inalienable right that we will not renounce under any circumstances.”
Iran, US reportedly reach framework agreement pending Trump approval
Iran and the United States have reportedly reached a framework agreement that includes a 60-day extension of the cease-fire, though it has not yet been approved by President Donald Trump, U.S. sources told AFP on Thursday.
The information was first reported by Axios, which said the preliminary agreement does not resolve the issue of Iran’s nuclear program but opens the door to further negotiations.
According to the news site, the framework agreement submitted to Trump stipulates that access to the Strait of Hormuz would remain “unlimited” during the 60-day period, requiring Iran to remove all mines from the area.
Axios also reported that the U.S. blockade on Iranian ports would be lifted proportionally to the restoration of maritime traffic, and that Tehran would be allowed to sell oil through a suspension of U.S. sanctions.
The announcements came shortly after overnight exchanges of strikes led the United States and Iran to accuse each other of violating the cease-fire that has been in place since April 8.
Three Bangladeshi migrant workers killed by Israeli drone strike in Jibsheet, bringing death toll to 23
A Bangladeshi migrant worker, his wife, and their son died of their wounds after an Israeli drone strike targeted them Thursday morning while they were riding a motorcycle in Jibsheet, in the Nabatieh district.
The deaths bring the provisional toll from Israeli strikes carried out Thursday to at least 23 people killed, according to our count, in addition to numerous wounded.
The toll includes:
- Five people killed in Saida in a strike on an apartment building in the Qiaya neighborhood.
- Six people killed in Adloun, in the Saida district, in a strike on a car.
- Five people killed in Sour, including three members of the same family in their apartment and two people riding a scooter near a Lebanese Army base.
- Two people killed in Choueifat — a mother and her baby — in an assassination attempt claimed by Israel.
- One person killed in Bazourieh, in the Sour district, while riding a scooter.
- One Lebanese soldier killed in a drone strike on the Zifta-Deir Zahrani road in the Nabatieh district.
Heritage at risk in southern Lebanon as culture minister warns over Israeli strikes
Lebanese Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh has intensified contacts with his foreign counterparts and relevant international organizations to draw attention to the significant damage inflicted on archaeological sites and historic districts in southern Lebanon, particularly in Sour and at Beaufort Castle.
Salameh reiterated that many of these sites “benefit from enhanced protection by UNESCO” and stressed “the urgent need to protect them from any Israeli airstrikes or artillery shelling,” according to the state-run National News Agency.
Ten Israeli strikes hit southern Lebanon since 5:30 p.m.
Israeli aircraft and artillery have carried out around 10 strikes on several villages in southern Lebanon over the past hour and a half.
Since 5:30 p.m., the strikes have targeted the towns of Touline, Kfar Tibnit, Arnoun, Yohmor al-Shaqif in the Nabatieh district, Srifa in the Sour district, Haris in Bint Jbeil district, Debbine in Marjayoun district and Qotrani in Jezzine district.
Two more killed in Israeli strikes on Sour as civil defense center receives threats
At least two more people were killed in intensive Israeli strikes on the city of Sour and its outskirts in southern Lebanon.
Two Syrian nationals, including a child, were killed in one of the strikes while riding a motorcycle near a Lebanese Army base, according to a statement from Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
The Sour Civil Defense Center also received a threatening call from the Israeli army ordering personnel to immediately evacuate the city and move to areas north of the Zahrani River, the statement said.
Earlier, the Ministry reported at least three people killed and 37 wounded in Wednesday’s Israeli strike on a residential building in the al-Bass area of Sour.
Israeli strikes on Saida, Adloun kill at least 11 people overnight
Two Israeli airstrikes carried out overnight on Saida and Adloun, on the outskirts of the southern city, killed at least 11 people, including two children, and wounded 21 others, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Thursday.
According to the Ministry, an Israeli strike carried out around 2 a.m. on a residential building in central Saida killed at least five people, including two women, and wounded 21 others, including five children.
Around 3 a.m., another airstrike targeted a vehicle traveling through the village of Adloun, south of Saida, killing six people, including two children, and their parents.
EU sanctions Israeli settlers and Hamas political bureau members
The Council of the European Union announced Thursday that it had imposed sanctions on four entities and three individuals over abuses committed against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, according to a statement.
The list includes what the Council described as extremist Israeli settlers and organizations that support them.
In a separate statement, the Council said it was also expanding the scope of EU sanctions against Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad to include members of Hamas’ political bureau who “promote, defend or justify acts of violence.”
US warns Oman against facilitating tolls in Strait of Hormuz
Oman should know that the U.S. government will “aggressively” target any actor involved in facilitating the implementation of tolls in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday in a post on X.
He added that any partner involved in a project to establish a toll system in the strait would face sanctions.
‘We’re done with this secretary-general’: Israel suspends relations with Guterres
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations announced Thursday that the country was suspending relations with U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, denouncing an expected decision to place Israel on a blacklist related to sexual violence in conflict.
“We’re done with this secretary-general,” Danny Danon said in a video message posted on X.
Israel’s mission to the United Nations later clarified that the move meant the “freezing” of its relations with the secretary-general’s office until the end of Guterres’ term on Dec. 31, 2026.
Netanyahu says he ordered Israeli army to take control of 70% of Gaza Strip
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that he had ordered the Israeli army to disregard the terms of the ceasefire that took effect in October and take control of 70% of the Gaza Strip, according to a video broadcast by Israeli television.
“Right now, we have Hamas by the throat. We now control 60% of the territory of the Gaza Strip. You know, we were at 50% (after the ceasefire came into effect), we went to 60%, my directive is to go to 70%,” Netanyahu said at a conference in the occupied West Bank, according to footage aired by Channel 12.
Rajji condemns Israeli strikes on Sour, calls for urgent diplomatic action
Lebanese Foreign Minister Joe Rajji said he was following “with deep sorrow and grave concern the ongoing Israeli attacks on the historic city of Sour, which have struck its ancient quarters, churches, mosques and heritage sites that have withstood thousands of years,” according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA).
Rajji has also been conducting a series of intensive diplomatic contacts, calling for an immediate halt to the attacks and urging the protection of a cultural heritage site that “concerns not only Lebanon, but all of humanity.”
US, Iran reportedly reach preliminary agreement pending Trump approval
The United States and Iran have reportedly reached an agreement on a 60-day memorandum of understanding aimed at extending the ceasefire and opening negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, Axios reported Thursday.
According to the outlet, citing two U.S. officials, the agreement still requires final approval from President Donald Trump.
“The president has conveyed a message to the mediators indicating that he wants a few days to consider the matter before making a final decision,” a senior U.S. official said.
Woman and newborn killed by Israeli strike on Choueifat
Initial reports emerged Thursday regarding the victims of the Israeli airstrike carried out around 2 p.m. in Choueifat, south of Beirut.
At least two people were killed in the attack, including Fatima Wehbe and her newborn daughter, according to our correspondent, Muntasser Abdallah.
A third woman, Rihab Abboud, from the village of Adloun in the Saida district, was wounded.
According to Israeli media reports, the strike was an assassination attempt targeting Hezbollah commander Ali Husseini, who is reportedly in charge of the group’s missile unit. No information was immediately available regarding his fate.
Earlier, the Israeli army claimed responsibility for what it described as a “precise strike in the Beirut area.”
Israel continues bombing Nabatieh, with strikes landing near public hospital
Israeli warplanes carried out a new series of strikes Thursday on several neighborhoods in and around the city of Nabatieh.
Two bombs landed near the city’s public hospital, while two other strikes targeted the Maydan district, according to our correspondent, Muntasser Abdallah.
The Imam Mahdi Mosque, located near the Nabatieh courthouse, was also destroyed in one of the strikes, according to images provided by our correspondent.
Two additional strikes targeted the village of Kfar Tibnit, while another raid hit Shoukin on the outskirts of the city.
Another Israeli strike hits Bekaa Valley
In the Bekaa Valley, the Israeli air force carried out a second strike on Sohmor about an hour after an earlier raid targeted a hangar, according to our correspondent, Sarah Abdallah.
Israel orders forced evacuation order for Sour, surrounding areas
The Israeli army renewed its forced evacuation order Thursday for “residents of the city of Sour, as well as the surrounding camps and neighborhoods.”
“For your safety, you must immediately evacuate your homes ... and move north of the Zahrani River,” Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote in a post on X accompanied by a map.
The warning specifically targeted residents of Shabriha, Hamadieh, Jall al-Bahr, Zoqaq al-Mafdi, al-Bass, al-Maashouk, Burj al-Shemali, Nabaa, Hosh, Rashidieh, and Ain Baal.
The Israeli army issued a similar order Wednesday afternoon for Sour and its suburbs, which are hosting many displaced people from other villages in southern Lebanon.

UNIFIL says it is ‘deeply concerned’ by escalation in southern Lebanon
“UNIFIL is deeply concerned by the recent escalation in southern Lebanon,” the U.N. peacekeeping force said in a statement Thursday. “The ongoing conflict is causing widespread death, injury and destruction. The situation is further destabilizing the region.”
UNIFIL said that “approximately 670 projectiles were fired on Wednesday, the highest level since April 17.” It also stressed that “civilians continue to bear the brunt of these events” and that “hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes, often at very short notice.”
“The damage to homes, roads and essential infrastructure is severely impacting daily life,” the statement added.
UNIFIL said, however, that peacekeepers “remain on the ground, monitoring the situation and reporting to the Security Council.”
“We continue to engage in dialogue with the parties in order to help reduce tensions and remind them of their obligations under Resolution 1701,” the statement concluded.
Washington says it wants to halt operations of Iranian airlines
A member of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet said Thursday that the United States wants to block the operations of Iranian airlines as part of increased pressure on authorities in Tehran.
“We will cut off access for both Iranian airlines to landing sites, refueling and ticket sales,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a post on X.
Israeli strikes target Nabatieh region, southern Bekaa Valley
Israeli strikes continued Thursday across the Nabatieh region and the southern Bekaa Valley, following warnings issued around 3 p.m. as Israeli troops reportedly advanced northward toward the southern city of Nabatieh.
Israeli aircraft carried out two strikes on the village of Kfar Joz before bombing Habboush, Kfour, and Mayfadoun. The latter was also targeted by drone strikes and artillery shelling, according to our correspondent.
Another Israeli drone strike targeted the village of Jibsheet, south of Nabatieh.
In the Bekaa Valley, Israeli warplanes struck a hangar at the northern entrance of Sohmor, completely destroying the building and leaving a large crater, according to images provided by our correspondent.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the country’s ideological military force, warned the United States on Thursday of a “firm response” in the event of another attack, following U.S. airstrikes in the south of the country.
“If this action is repeated, the U.S. military will be exposed to a firm response,” the IRGC said in a statement published on its Sepah News website.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the country’s ideological military force, warned the United States on Thursday of a “firm response” in the event of another attack, following U.S. airstrikes in the south of the country.

Israeli army issues new evacuation order for 6 villages
The Israeli army issued an evacuation order for six villages, calling on residents to move north of the Zahrani River.
“Urgent warning to residents in the following villages: Habboush, Kfour, Sohmor, Ain Qana, Nabatieh Tahta, Kfar Roummane. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move north of the Zahrani River,” Israeli army Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X, adding that “anyone near Hezbollah elements, facilities or means of combat is putting their life at risk.”
Kuwait condemns 'dangerous escalation' after strikes attributed to Iran
Kuwait condemned drone and missile attacks it attributed to Iran, against the backdrop of renewed clashes between the United States and Iran threatening a fragile ceasefire in the region, AFP reported.
In a statement, the foreign ministry expressed its “strongest condemnation of the criminal Iranian attacks targeting the territory of the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, in a dangerous escalation.”
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards had earlier said they targeted a U.S. base in retaliation for recent American strikes in southern Iran, without specifying the location.
Israeli raids on Nabatieh and Zefta
Israeli warplanes fired two missiles in an initial raid on the al-Midan neighborhood in the city of Nabatieh. Minutes later, a second raid struck the city, while a drone bombed the town of Zefta, also in the Nabatieh district.

Israel says it struck more than 135 Hezbollah targets over past day
The Israeli army said it struck more than 135 targets belonging to Hezbollah in Sour, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon over the past day, in a statement posted on X.
It said that in the Bekaa Valley and southern Lebanon, around 10 launch sites used to fire rockets at Israeli forces and civilians were hit, as well as a Hezbollah training camp in the Bekaa region.
The army also said that overnight it struck about 15 military infrastructures used by Hezbollah to advance “terrorist plans” in the Sour area. It added that the air force “eliminated a terrorist cell” as it left a launch site used to fire rockets at Israeli forces.

The Lebanese Army confirmed the death of one of its soldiers in the Israeli strike on the Zefta–Deir Zahrani road in southern Lebanon.
“A member of the army was martyred after being targeted by an Israeli strike while traveling on the Zefta – Deir Zahrani road (Nabatieh),” the army said on X.

Two Israeli strikes targeted Kfar Dounin and Qlayah in the Sour district, our correspondent reported.
A grandfather and his nephew later succumbed totheir wounds after the strike on al-Bass (Sour).
Israeli bombardments also targeted a motorcycle in Zefta, injuring its rider.
The Israeli army also struck a tuk-tuk in Zefta, as well as the villages of Rmadieh (Sour), Shakra (Bint Jbeil), Mayfadoun (Nabatieh), and the area between Toulin and Burj Qalawi.

Israeli threat against car near Abbassieh junction in Sour
The driver of a car passing near the Abbassieh junction in Sour received an Israeli warning call, according to our correspondent.
The driver abandoned the vehicle and moved away, while the Civil Defense and the Islamic Health Committee blocked road access over fears it could be targeted.

Kuwait is facing missile and drone attacks on Thursday, the emirate’s army said, shortly after the United States announced strikes against southern Iran.
“Kuwaiti air defenses are currently repelling attacks carried out by enemy missiles and drones,” the army wrote on X.
US strikes drone launch site as Trump maintains maximum pressure on Iran, Washington Post reports
President Donald Trump insisted Wednesday he would not accept a “bad deal” with Iran, while threatening further strikes and publicly pressuring Arab allies to meet U.S. demands, the Washington Post reported.
As the conflict triggered by Trump in Iran approaches its third month, the president said he held maximum leverage and faced no pressure to reach an agreement. He added that Iran had miscalculated in thinking upcoming elections would force a deal: “I don’t care about midterm elections.”
The remarks contrast with statements by administration officials over the weekend that a deal was “95% complete.” On Wednesday evening, U.S. forces struck an Iranian drone launch site in Bandar Abbas after intercepting four one-way attack drones, according to a U.S. official speaking anonymously.

Israel: Soldier killed by Hezbollah explosive drone
The Israeli army said one of its soldiers was killed Wednesday by an explosive Hezbollah drone near the Lebanese border, bringing to 24 the number of deaths in its ranks since early March.
Sergeant Rotem Yanai, 20, “fell during a military operation in northern Israel,” the army said in a brief statement. She was killed by an explosive Hezbollah drone, an army spokesperson told AFP.
In total, 24 Israelis — including 23 soldiers and one civilian contractor — have been killed since the resumption of hostilities with Iran-backed Hezbollah in early March.
UN adds Israel to blacklist for sexual violence in conflict
The U.N. has added Israel to its blacklist of countries committing sexual violence in conflict, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations said, as quoted by Haaretz.
Ambassador Danny Danon described the decision as a “blood libel” and a “political decision,” writing on X that Israel had been added “alongside the most brutal terrorist organizations in the world — Hamas and ISIS.”
He added that Israel had provided evidence, documents and detailed responses to every allegation, and had invited U.N. representatives to visit and examine the situation.
Smotrich calls to 'destroy 100 buildings' in Beirut

Several killed in Israeli strikes on Tyre
An Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in Bazourieh (Sour), leaving one person critically wounded, our correspondent reported.
Two young men from Saida who had traveled by motorcycle to the Nabatieh area were reportedly targeted by a drone strike. They contacted a relative after being hit, saying they were wounded, before contact was lost. Their fate remains unknown.
Israeli warplanes also struck Haris (Bint Jbeil), while another drone hit a motorcycle near a Lebanese army barracks in Sour, killing two people.
Additional strikes targeted Nabatieh, Harouf, Jibsheet, Mansouri, Zebqin and Toulin. A house was also destroyed between Qaaqaaiyat al-Sanawbar and Ghassanieh (Saida).
Israeli army bombs buildings in Sour at dawn
After 5 a.m., Israeli warplanes targeted a building in Sour following two warning drone strikes. Minutes later, two airstrikes hit the threatened buildings, followed by further strikes on nearby areas.
Israel strikes more than 39 southern localities
Israeli warplanes carried out raids on 39 localities in the south, while drones struck seven areas and artillery fire hit 20 others, our correspondent reported.
