The Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, told the media outlet al-Sharq al-Awsat that he hoped reports of a future Iran-U.S. agreement were accurate, saying he wished for “a comprehensive agreement ending Israel’s war against Lebanon.”

The London-based media outlet also reported that Lebanese sources revealed Iran had informed leaders in Beirut of a “clear commitment” to include Lebanon in any deal ending the ongoing war with the U.S. and Israel.

According to these sources, Lebanese officials were told, via non-diplomatic channels, that Tehran had indicated to several of its allies in Lebanon that a cease-fire agreement “would certainly include Lebanon.”

Israeli army says it captured 2 members of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force

The Israeli army’s Givati Brigade captured two members of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in southern Lebanon, according to the army spokesperson.

The fighters, from the Shiite group, “had planned to launch an anti-tank missile at troops” and to carry out “rocket fire toward towns in northern Israel,” said Avichay Adraee. “The terrorists surrendered after detecting significant Israeli army activity.”

“Shortly after being spotted, the forces captured the militants following their surrender and found them in possession of numerous weapons and combat equipment,” he added. “The building from which they were operating was destroyed during the night.” According to the Israeli army, a large quantity of weapons and equipment was seized during the operation, and the captured fighters were transferred to Unit 504 for questioning.

“Preliminary investigations by Unit 504 indicate that these operatives arrived from the Bekaa region into southern Lebanon, which contradicts the Lebanese army’s claims of operational control south of the Litani River. This incident once again proves that the Lebanese army failed to prevent the movement of fighters and military equipment into the area south of the Litani,” Adraee continued.

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed renewed optimism in the evening about the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran.

"we've been negotiating [with Iran] for a long time, and this time, they mean business," Trump said at an event in Tennessee, according to Reuters and Israeli media.

He reiterated that the ongoing talks with Iran “are going very well” in which the two sides had "major points of agreement," adding that a deal could be done soon to settle the war.

He emphasized that the agreement would benefit U.S. allies in the Middle East, including Israel, which “has been an excellent partner in this effort.”

"We're giving it five days, and then we're going to see where that takes us. And I would say at the end of this period, I think it could very well end up being a very good deal for everybody," he concluded.

Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance spoke by phone on Monday morning with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss efforts to open negotiations with Iran, according to a source familiar with the matter, journalist Barak Ravid reported on his X account.

The two officials “discussed elements of a potential deal aimed at ending the war with Iran,” the source said.

2 missiles launched last night by Iran toward Israel landed in Lebanon, Israeli army says

“The Iranian terrorist regime does not just coordinate with Hezbollah – it finances it. Hezbollah is the regime’s main proxy, acting on its behalf. Despite this, the Iranian terrorist regime has directly endangered Lebanese civilians,” the Israeli army wrote on its X account.

The United Kingdom has summoned Iran’s ambassador in London following the recent charging of two Iranians suspected of spying on sites linked to the Jewish community, the Foreign Office announced, denouncing the "reckless and destabilizing actions" of the country.

Shells hit Israeli soldiers on the heights of Tratira, in the border village of Maroun al-Ras, at 1:15 p.m. A series of rockets also struck Israeli army vehicles at 2:30 p.m. in Khaltat al-Aqsa, Taybeh (Marjayoun), and at 3:10 p.m. in Yaroun (Bint Jbeil).

Hezbollah also carried out multiple strikes in northern Israel.

The Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued an “urgent warning” to residents of the southern suburbs, specifically the neighborhoods of Haret Hreik, Ghobeiri, Laylaki, Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh, Tahwitat al-Ghadir, and Chiyah.

A resident of the building across the street says: “I am very anxious. I was at the supermarket when I saw on television that the explosion had occurred in Hazmieh. At first, we thought it was a gas cylinder. I’ve been waiting for half an hour to be able to return home.”

Another resident, who lives two buildings away, recounts: “I had just left my home by car. I immediately turned back to check if my building had been affected. It’s the loudest explosion I have ever heard. I was among the first to arrive on the scene: people were panicked. Ten minutes later, the Red Cross and Civil Defense arrived.”

He adds: “I saw a car with Nabatieh license plates arrive; it looked like it belonged to Hezbollah. The neighborhood residents chased them away, kicking the vehicle.”

He casts doubt on the numbers given by the head of the municipal council. “He says 258 families, but it’s much more than that. On my street alone, dozens of parked cars don’t belong to anyone from the neighborhood.”

Israeli fighter jets bombed the Dalafa Bridge twice, which connects several areas in southern Israel and the Bekaa Valley, according to our correspondent in the South.

The U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that a projectile fired by a "non-state actor," referring to Hezbollah, struck a building at its headquarters in Naqoura, in the Sour district, where the Israeli army has been attempting to advance and has been under attack from Hezbollah since this morning.

"Just before noon today, a projectile struck a building inside our headquarters. U.N. peacekeepers specializing in demining are currently responding to the incident. We believe it was fired by a non-state actor," UNIFIL spokesperson Kandice Ardiel said in a statement.

“Over the past 48 hours, peacekeepers have recorded heavy gunfire and intense explosions in and around Naqoura, near the UNIFIL headquarters. Bullets, shrapnel, and shell fragments have struck buildings and open areas within our base, endangering peacekeepers. As a result, they have been forced to remain in shelters,” the statement said.

“We reiterate that there is no military solution to this conflict and call on the parties to lay down their arms and commit to a long-term solution before more people are injured,” the statement concluded.

The Riyadh region of Saudi Arabia was targeted by two ballistic missiles, the kingdom's Defense Ministry announced on the 24th day of the Middle East war.

Other Gulf countries also reported Iranian missile strikes toward their territories. One of the missiles was intercepted and the other landed in an uninhabited area, the Saudi Ministry stated.

In the United Arab Emirates, another country regularly targeted by Tehran since the beginning of the war, the Defense Ministry announced on Monday that it was "currently responding to missile and drone threats from Iran," explaining that "the sounds heard are the result of the interception of missiles and drones by air defense systems."

An alert was also triggered in Bahrain. "Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and go to the nearest safe place," the country's Interior Ministry said on social media.

Starting at 10 p.m., Israeli artillery fire, some using white phosphorus, targeted the towns of Ain Arab (Marjayoun district), Qleileh (Sour), and Tibnin (Bint Jbeil).
