Al-Jadeed reported that the message included details about the business, its offices, and operations, and was being taken seriously by security services, which evacuated the building as a precaution.

In a statement posted on X, Qatar’s Interior Ministry described the situation in the country as “stable” following the publication of these threats in Iranian media. The ministry also stressed the importance of “obtaining information exclusively from official sources.”
Iran threatens neighborhoods in Doha and Dubai 'where US soldiers are hiding,' according to Iranian channel Press TV.
The Iranian Media Operations Center said that “U.S. military personnel are hiding at sites in Doha and Dubai” and called on residents to evacuate them immediately, Iran’s state channel Press TV reported, citing Reuters.
Three neighborhoods are threatened in and around Doha, according to maps published by the Iranian channel: Lusail, Al Waab, and Ain Khaled.
In Dubai, the two areas mentioned are the neighborhoods of Dubai Marina and Arabian Ranches.
Health Ministry reports 10 killed in three strikes on Qatrani, Majdal Selm and Aitit
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said an Israeli strike on Majdal Selm killed two people and wounded four, while another strike on Aitit left three dead and three others injured.
The ministry also said a strike the previous evening on Qatrani killed five people and wounded six.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli army said it had carried out strikes on Saturday “against Hezbollah infrastructure,” including “launch sites located in the Qatrani area,” where attacks were allegedly being prepared, referring to Hezbollah.
South Lebanon: 5 strikes on Qantara; Hezbollah targets Israeli soldiers in Khiam
Five Israeli strikes targeted Qantara (Marjayoun).
Hezbollah said it targeted three gatherings of Israeli soldiers late in the day, two of them inside Lebanese territory in the Marjayoun district: one east of the former prison of Khiam with a salvo of rockets, and another on Khazzan hill in Odaisseh with artillery shells, according to statements published by the Shiite party on Telegram.
The group also claimed rocket fire — for the second time today — against Israeli soldiers gathered on al-Ajal hill, north of Kfar Yuval.
According to Israel’s public broadcaster Kan, the Israeli army is preparing for a ground offensive in Lebanon “in the coming days.” In this context, Israel is reportedly preparing to mobilize as many as 450,000 reservists. According to the same source, fighters from Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force are moving toward the border from the Litani River.

The Israeli army also bombarded the village at least four times later in the evening.
In addition, guided missiles reportedly targeted military vehicles south of Khiam, according to our correspondent. This attack has not yet been claimed by the party. However, Hezbollah said it destroyed a Merkava tank positioned north of Khiam prison yesterday, Saturday, at 9:40 p.m., using a guided missile.
Israeli fighter jets also bombed Wadi Slouki, another strategic valley in the South, following earlier strikes on Wadi Houjeir earlier in the day.

$1 million has been allocated to Lebanon to “scale up trauma care, strengthen disease surveillance, and purchase and distribute essential medicines and medical supplies,” the agency said in a statement. Iraq and Syria were each allocated $500,000 to “support coordination of emergency interventions and manage large influxes of casualties, procure and distribute essential medicines and supplies, provide health services to displaced populations, and reinforce epidemiological surveillance and community awareness activities.”
Hezbollah claims new attacks on northern Israel and the occupied Golan
Hezbollah claimed three new attacks on northern Israel using suicide drones at 1 p.m. on the Meron air operations surveillance base, and rocket attacks at 5 p.m. on Avivim and at 6 p.m. on Kiryat Shmona.

5 wounded in rocket fire targeting Baghdad International Airport in Iraq
Five people were wounded on Sunday in rocket fire that targeted Baghdad International Airport, which also hosts a U.S. diplomatic facility within a vast military complex, Iraqi security services announced.
“Five rockets targeted Baghdad International Airport and its surroundings, injuring four employees and security personnel, as well as one engineer,” the security services’ media cell said in a statement cited by AFP.
According to the statement, the projectiles fell inside the perimeter of the civilian airport, as well as on a water treatment plant near an Iraqi military air force base and a high-security prison.
Hezbollah claims attacks on military positions in northern Israel and the occupied Golan
In its 12th and 13th statements of the day, Hezbollah said it struck two Israeli military positions in the occupied Golan. It claimed a 5:00 p.m. attack on the Kila barracks and a 3:00 p.m. strike on the Tsonbar logistics base, using rocket salvos.

UNIFIL reports coming under fire 3 times, 'likely by non-state armed groups'
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said in a statement that its troops came under fire “on three separate occasions while conducting patrols around their bases in Yater, Qalawieh, and Deir Kifa.”
According to UNIFIL, the fire came “likely from non-state armed groups,” a probable reference to Hezbollah, which has redeployed in southern Lebanon amid clashes with the Israeli army.
“The fire in Yatar hit as close as five metres from the peacekeepers. The sources of fire in the two other incidents were about 100 and 200 metres away, respectively," the U.N. force said.
It added that “no peacekeeper was injured. wo patrols returned fire in self-defense and after brief exchanges, the patrols resumed their planned activities. UNIFIL noted that “The presence of weapons outside State control in the UNIFIL area of operations is a violation of Security Council Resolution 1701."
Although UNIFIL has already been targeted at least twice by Israel since early March, these are the first instances of fire coming from Lebanese territory since the outbreak of the new war in Lebanon. During the war in the fall of 2024, attacks on UNIFIL attributed to Hezbollah or affiliated groups were also recorded.

An Israeli military source said there was “no shortage of missile interceptors” in Israel after being questioned by the press about rumors claiming interceptor stocks were running out two weeks after the start of the conflict with Iran.
“The Israel Defense Forces have prepared for a prolonged conflict,” the source added, according to AFP.
Citing U.S. officials, the news site Semafor had reported that Israel had informed the U.S that it was “critically short of ballistic missile interceptors.” Israel’s foreign minister, Gideon Saar, had already rejected these allegations earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army reportedly has “plans extending at least until the Jewish holiday of Passover, in about three weeks. And we have even more advanced plans for three additional weeks beyond that,” a spokesperson told CNN.
Iran 'sees no reason to negotiate' with the US, Araghchi says
Iran “sees no reason to negotiate” with the United States, its foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said after Donald Trump claimed that Tehran wanted to “make a deal” to end the war, in an interview with CBS.
“We see no reason to negotiate with the Americans because we were in talks with them when they decided to attack us – and it was the second time this had happened,” Araghchi said in an interview on the program Face the Nation on CBS.
The Iranian top diplomat was referring to a U.S. operation launched in June 2025, in the middle of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
Netanyahu mocks rumors about his death in a video
In a video posted on X, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to rumors circulating on social media in recent days claiming he had been killed in an Iranian strike. Filmed in a café, he turns to the camera and jokes that he is “dying … for a coffee.”
In the footage, Netanyahu also calls on Israelis to “get some fresh air” outside their homes, while staying close to shelters, and promises that security measures and restrictions will be lifted as quickly as possible.
Israel says it is expanding its scope of strikes on Iranian infrastructure
The Israeli army said on X that it is expanding the scope of its strikes on Iranian infrastructure to additional areas in western and central Iran. With this expansion of its operations, the army said it aims to “deliver a broad and systematic blow to the regime’s command and control capabilities.”
As part of this expansion, strikes were carried out against headquarters linked to the Iranian regime — including those of the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij — in the Hamadan region in western Iran.

Israel considers cancelling maritime agreement with Lebanon, according to its energy minister
Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen said on Sunday that the Israeli government was considering cancelling the 2022 maritime border demarcation agreement with Lebanon, which had settled a maritime border dispute in a gas-rich area of the Mediterranean Sea.
In an interview with Israeli Army Radio, Cohen claimed that the agreement, signed by a previous government, was “not a real agreement, but rather an act of capitulation,” reports Bloomberg News, as cited by several media outlets.
Cohen stated that under the terms of this agreement, Lebanon had secured the entirety of the disputed area in exchange for a “vague” promise to improve Israel’s security.
Hezbollah claims to have hit an Israeli tank in southern Lebanon
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for firing a guided missile at an Israeli Merkava' tank in Taybeh (Marjayoun) at 1.45 pm.
The tank "was seen burning," according to a statement published on Hezbollah's "war media" Telegram channel, which also claimed to have targeted “a gathering of enemy troops” in the same village a few minutes later, whilst fighting rages in this sector of the border area between Israeli troops which are attempting to invade southern Lebanon, and Hezbollah fighters.

- An Israeli airstrike targeted the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Kfar Tibnit, as well as Ali Taher (Nabatieh).
- An Israeli airstrike and artillery fire targeted Khiam, where heavy gunfire can be heard.
Hezbollah claims five rounds of rockets at Israeli targets on Sunday morning
The first of these, at 6am, targeted “the Balmakhim airbase," located south of Tel Aviv, 140 km from the Lebanese border, using “a high-quality missile,” according to a statement published on Hezbollah’s Telegram channel.
Two further rockets were subsequently fired at 8.30 am, targeting an “air defense system” in the town of Ma’alot-Tarshiha and a “military industrial complex belonging to the Rafael company” on the outskirts of Kiryat. A fourth salvo was fired at 12.30 pm towards the Israeli town of Nahariya.
Furthermore, Hezbollah claimed to have launched “a squadron of attack drones” against a “convoy of enemy army vehicles” positioned at Khallet al-Aqsa, on the outskirts of the border village of Odaisseh (Marjayoun).
The war will only end when Iran is ‘certain’ that it cannot happen again, says Araghchi
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview published on Sunday that the war between his country and the United States and Israel would only end when Iran was "certain" that it could not happen again.
“This war will end when we are certain that it will not happen again and that reparations will also be paid. We experienced this last year: Israel attacked, then the United States ... they came back, reorganised and attacked us again,” Araghchi told the news website Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, referring to the previous war in June 2025.
Latest developments in southern Lebanon
According to our correspondent in southern Lebanon:
- The Israeli air force has carried out several strikes between the neighboring villages of Zawtar Sharqieh and Yohmor al-Shaqif (Nabatieh), just north of the Litani River.
- One of these strikes targeted the mosque in Yohmor al-Shaqif, a few hours after the Husseiniyeh in Sharqieh, another village in the Nabatieh district, was also completely destroyed by a similar strike. This strike took place whilst a maintenance team from the Mrad company was working on site to repair faults in the electricity network. No injuries were reported among the technicians.
- Israeli air strieks also struck the heights of the Jbour hills (Jezzine), which were hit by at least two separate strikes.
- Two strikes also targeted residential areas in the village of Aitit (Sour), killing three people and injuring one.
- An Israeli air strike also targeted the village of Naqoura (Sour).
- Israeli artillery fire again targeted Yohmor al-Shaqif and the neighbouring town of Arnoun (Nabatieh), whilst Khiam (Marjayoun), the scene of intense fighting for several days between Israel and Hezbollah, was also targeted with strikes. Machine-gun fire could still be heard within the town this morning.
- Furthermore, the body of a person killed was found in Saida, three days after a strike targeted a building in the Mashareh al-Hibeh neighborhood.
Pope Leo XIV renews call for peace in the Middle East on Sunday
“Dear brothers and sisters, for the past two weeks, the peoples of the Middle East have been suffering the atrocious violence of war,” said the American pontiff during his weekly Angelus prayer at the Vatican.
“I reiterate my solidarity with all those who have lost loved ones in the attacks that have struck schools, hospitals and residential areas,” he said.
The pope emphasised that the situation in Lebanon was particularly worrying. “On behalf of the Christians of the Middle East and all women and men of good will, I appeal to those who bear responsibility for this conflict. Cease fire! Let the channels of dialogue be reopened!” he said.
“Violence can never lead to the justice, stability and peace that people are waiting for,” the pope added.
Salam vows to intensify coordination for aid to the displaced
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Sunday called on relevant ministers to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of recently received humanitarian aid for displaced persons, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.
Following a meeting at the Grand Serail, Information Minister Paul Morcos said the President had asked to speed up the distribution of food and medicine arriving in Lebanon for the more than 800,000 officially registered displaced people.
In the interest of transparency, President Joseph Aoun also tasked the Information Minister with disseminating in the media the necessary figures and information to facilitate displaced persons' access to information and available services.

Israeli security official claims 'seven senior Iranian officials' have been killed in Lebanon since start of escalation
Israeli intelligence has opened what they are calling the “Quds file,” an effort to systematically target Iran's Quds force and infrastructure across the Middle East, a senior Israeli Security official told Fox News.
The official said Israel has taken out seven Iranian senior officials in Lebanon, while destroying 17 of the Quds force air fleet, which is used to transport weapons and components to proxies like Hezbollah, Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst reported.
“We destroyed almost all of the Quds force’s fleet,” the Israeli official said. “Until now 17 out of 20 cargo planes, and we will reach them all. They won't be flying anywhere anytime soon.”
The official added that Israel also struck the main Quds force headquarters in Tehran “with many Quds forces operatives in it.”

'The return of peace' to Lebanon depends on an end to the Israeli occupation, says Araghchi
During a telephone call with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that a “return to peace” in Lebanon depended on the “end of the occupation” by Israel in southern Lebanon and the cessation of its attacks on the country.
“The main source of insecurity throughout the region, including in Lebanon, is the aggression and hegemony of the Zionist regime, and the return of peace to Lebanon depends on the end of the occupation and the cessation of this regime’s attacks and aggression,” he said, in comments posted on his Telegram account.
Iran: Israel releases video of strikes on a drone depot and operators at a launch site
The Israeli military has released a video on the X platform, accompanied by a statement claiming that “the air force eliminated drone operators as they fled a storage and launch site” in western Iran. “As part of its ongoing operations in the region, an air force aircraft, guided by precise, real-time intelligence, attacked a drone depot located at a launch site in western Iran,” the text states.
“Following the strike on the depot, the Air Force spotted Iranian regime operators fleeing the launch site. In a swift, real-time operation, an Air Force aircraft tracked these operators and eliminated them in several separate strikes,” the Israeli military continued.
'You don’t change leaders in times of war': Rai calls for support for Aoun and Haykal
In his Sunday homily at Bkirki, the current Maronite patriarch Bechara al-Rai called for support for President Joseph Aoun and the army’s commander-in-chief, General Rodolph Haykal, at a time when the latter is facing heavy criticism amid the war between Israel and Hezbollah which escalated on March 2.

Latest developments in southern Lebanon
According to our correspondent in southern Lebanon:
- An Israeli strike has targeted the Sahel al-Barak region, near the coastal village of Addousieh (Saida), for the first time during this war.
- Israel also carried out strikes on Jibsheet (Nabatieh) and Wadi al-Akhdar, an area separating Nabatieh from Iqlim al-Tuffah, as well as on the towns of Kafra and Aitit (Bint Jbeil). It then targeted Adsheet, without causing any casualties, as well as the town of Khiam (Marjayoun). Israel also targeted the village of Sharqieh (Nabatieh) with fighter jets.
- Israeli artillery fire targeted Yohmor al-Shaqif and the outskirts of Arnoun (Nabatieh), as well as the village of Bouaida on the outskirts of Jdeidet Marjayoun (Marjayoun). Strikes also targeted Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Nabatieh.
- The Lebanese Army is also continuing to work on clearing the road to Khardali in southern Lebanon. Paramedics from Hezbollah’s medical committee have travelled to the village of Shakra (Bint Jbeil), targeted by an Israeli airstrike on Saturday, to clear the rubble and search for survivors.
Iran carries out drone strikes on military and police sites in Israel
The Iranian military said on Sunday that it had carried out drone strikes targeting, among other things, a major police unit and a satellite communications center in Israel.
In a statement carried by the Irna news agency, the army claimed to have “targeted the security centers and police headquarters of the Zionist regime,” including the Lahav 433 special unit, the Israeli FBI, and a satellite communications center, “with powerful drone strikes.”
Israel approves ‘emergency’ budget allocation
The Israeli government has approved a budget of $827 million for "emergency" military purchases, according to Israeli media reports.
This package was agreed upon overnight on Friday and Saturday by ministers during a conference call. It will be used for “security purchases” and to address “urgent needs,” reports Haaretz, without providing further details.
According to the finance ministry document submitted to ministers and released on Sunday morning by several national media outlets, including N12 television, “given the intensity of the fighting, an urgent and immediate need has arisen to provide an operational response, including the acquisition of ammunition, advanced weaponry and the replenishment of critical combat stocks.”
It also states that “this is an exceptional emergency decision intended solely to meet the needs arising from the conduct of the fighting.”
This funding will be drawn from the state budget, totaling $222 billion, which was approved by the government on March 12 and is expected to be adopted by the Knesset by March 31.
Trump ‘does not want’ a deal with Iran, despite cost of war
More than two weeks after the start of the war in the Middle East, which is destabilizing the global economy, U.S. President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of a deal with Iran at this stage.
“Iran wants to make a deal and I don’t want to do it because the terms of the deal aren’t good enough yet,” President Trump said in an interview with NBC.
For him, these terms must “be very solid” to go ahead and include a commitment from Tehran to abandon its nuclear ambitions. Iran has so far rejected any discussion of a cease-fire in this war, which is setting the region ablaze and driving up oil prices.
On Friday, leaders marched through the heart of Tehran in a pro-Palestinian demonstration, defying their enemies. Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader who succeeded his slain father, was himself wounded in the airstrikes and has still not appeared in public.
If he is alive — something Donald Trump said he “did not know” — he should “surrender,” the U.S. president said.
Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, for his part, gave assurances that there was “no problem with the new Supreme Leader."
Health Ministry confirms toll from Israeli strike on Sharhabil: 1 person killed and 3 children injured
The Israeli strike on Sharhabil, in the district of Saida, killed at least one person and injured three children, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
Our correspondent in southern Lebanon had earlier reported that the drone strike had killed a Hamas member, Wissam Taha, and injured his three children.
Israeli foreign minister: 'Israel has no plans to hold direct talks with Lebanon in coming days'
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has stated that “Israel does not plan to hold direct talks with the Lebanese government in the coming days,” reports Reuters.
“We expect the Lebanese government to take serious measures to prevent Hezbollah from firing on Israel,” he added.
He concluded by stating that he “shares with the United States the determination to continue the war against Iran until our objectives are achieved.”
Tehran calls on France not to ‘escalate the conflict’
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, that European countries should refrain from any action likely to escalate the conflict in the Middle East, Araghchi said in comments posted on his Telegram account on Sunday.
This statement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump called on various states, including France, to deploy ships to help secure maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, which has been blocked by Iran following U.S.-Israeli strikes on its territory.
Around a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas normally passes through this strait, a narrow passage between Iran and Oman.
Israel claims it targeted a Hezbollah Radwan force HQ in Beirut
Israel claimed to have carried out further air strikes on Lebanon on Saturday “against Hezbollah infrastructure,” including “launch sites located in the Qatrani area” (Jezzine).
The army also stated that it had targeted a “headquarters of the Radwan Force”, Hezbollah’s elite unit, in Beirut, which was being used “to plan operations against Israel."
Latest developments in southern Lebanon
According to our correspondent in southern Lebanon:
- An Israeli air strike targeted Jibsheet (Nabatieh);
- Israeli artillery fire targeted Yohmor (Nabatieh) and the outskirts of Arnoun;
- Israeli warplanes targeted the Barak plain opposite Odaisseh (Zahrani).
Iran's foreign minister blames Israel for attacks targeting civilian areas in Gulf countries
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied on Sunday that Iran had targeted civilian or residential areas in Gulf countries, and stated that Tehran was prepared to form a committee with its neighbors to investigate who was responsible for these strikes.
The foreign minister even suggested that Israel may be behind these attacks that have hit civilian areas, according to the Fars news agency, a media outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards, reports Reuters.
The Gulf states, for their part, have once again called on Iran to cease its attacks on their territories, which have not only suffered strikes against U.S. military bases but also damage to energy facilities and residential areas.
Israel-US attacks kill 223 women and 202 since start of joint war on Iran
Israel and the U.S. have killed 223 women, including three pregnant women, and 202 children, including twelve under the age of five, since the start of their joint war on Iran, the Fars News Agency reported.
Additionally, according to the same report, Israeli-U.S. attacks have damaged 153 medical centers across Iran and killed three healthcare workers.

Israel announced on Sunday that it had launched a "massive wave" of strikes on western Iran, on the 16th day of its joint offensive with the United States against the Islamic Republic.
Latest developments in southern Lebanon
Hezbollah drones have penetrated Israel, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon. Air-raid sirens have sounded in the Negev region and in Haifa, reports Haaretz.
An Israeli airstrike has targeted the village of Touline (Marjayoun).
Saudi Arabia announces four drones shot down in Riyadh
The Saudi Ministry of Defense has stated that it has intercepted and destroyed four drones in the Riyadh metropolitan area.
Since the start of the Israeli-U.S. war on Iran on Feb. 28, Saudi Arabia has been the target of numerous Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting critical energy infrastructure, U.S. interests and military installations, as well as urban areas.
These attacks have left at least two people dead and twelve injured.
New strikes on Iran
A thick plume of smoke is rising above the central Iranian city of Isfahan, following new air strikes carried out early on Sunday morning, according to Al Jazeera. It is unclear whether the attack was carried out by the Israeli or U.S. air force.
Videos and images, verified by Al Jazeera, show thick plumes of smoke rising above Isfahan at dawn. In one video, fighter jets can be seen flying at low altitude.
Iran arrests 20 people over alleged links to Israel
Iranian authorities have arrested at least 20 people in the north-west of the country on suspicion of collaborating with Israel, according to the Fars news agency, on the 16th day of the war in the Middle East.
In West Azerbaijan Province, “20 people have been placed in detention by court order” for having “passed on information about military, police and security sites to the Zionist enemy,” Fars reports, quoting the region’s prosecutor, Hossein Majidi.
The Iranian authorities have carried out waves of arrests in recent days on charges linked to the war launched on Feb. 28 by the United States and Israel, according to Iranian media and NGOs.
The powerful head of the national police, Ahmad Reza Radan, warned earlier this week that troublemakers would be treated as “enemies” and shot, stating that the security forces had “their finger on the trigger.”

Hezbollah carries out dozens of attacks against Israel
Hezbollah claimed responsibility yesterday for a series of attacks against Israel.
- At 12.30 am, Israeli soldiers stationed at the Avivim barracks were targeted by a barrage of rockets.
- At 2 am, a group of soldiers at Khallit al-Mahafir, near Odaisseh, was targeted by a heavy barrage of rockets.
- At 3 am, Hezbollah targeted Israeli troops on al-Ajal Hill, north of the settlement of Kfar Yuval.
- Hezbollah also targeted soldiers at the Fatima Gate in the village of Kfar Kila, an artillery position in the settlement of Dishon, and targeted Khallit al-Mahafir at 10 pm.
- On Saturday, Hezbollah carried out 47 military attacks against Israel, the highest number of attacks since the start of the re-escalation of the war.
Iran's Guards vow to 'pursue and kill' Israeli premier Netanyahu
Iran's Revolutionary Guards vowed on Sunday to target Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the war with Israel and the United States continues.
"If this child-killing criminal is alive, we will continue to pursue and kill him with full force," said the Guards on their website Sepah News.
Israeli dawn strike on Sharhabil, Saida, kills member of Hamas

At around 4am, an Israeli drone fired two missiles on an apartment in Sharhabil, on the eastern outskirts of Saida, killing, according to our correspondent, a member of Hamas, identified as Wissam Taha, and injuring his three children.
Hezbollah fighters clash with Israeli troops in ground battle
Hezbollah has stated that its fighters engaged in direct clashes with Israeli troops in the southern town of Khiam from 9.20 pm yesterday, using light and medium weapons and rockets, according to our correspondent in the south.
During the night, bursts of machine-gun fire were heard in the town, particularly near the infamous Khiam detention center and the town hall, with reports of Israeli vehicles encroaching on Lebanese territory between Khiam and Wata al-Khiam.
Meanwhile, helicopters flew over the towns of Wazzani and Majidieh.
According to our correspondent, the clashes resulted in the death of at least one person. identified as Ali Ahmad al-Khansa.
Intense Israeli artillery fire on several villages and valleys in southern Lebanon
Israeli airstrikes were accompanied by intense artillery fire targeting numerous areas, notably the outskirts of Yohmor al-Shaqif, Arnoun, and Zawtar Sharqieh in the district of Nabatieh, as well as along the Litani River and the outskirts of Kfar Shuba in the district of Hasbaya.
Israeli artillery also targeted valleys around Majdal Zoun, Naqoura and Zibqine in the district of Sour, Yater in the district of Bint Jbeil, the Slouqi Valley and the town of Khiam in the district of Marjayoun.
Artillery fire was also reported between Mayfadoun and Zawtar Sharqieh in the district of Nabatieh and on Qawzah and the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab in the district of Bint Jbeil.
Israeli military escalation in southern Lebanon kills several in overnight strikes
Israel engaged in a major military escalation in southern Lebanon overnight, marked by heavy air strikes and intensive artillery fire targeting dozens of towns.
Hezbollah claimed a number of attacks and engaged in direct clashes with Israeli troops in the southern Lebanese town of Khiam.
Israel carried out strikes on 29 towns in the south until midnight last night, and targeted 19 towns with concentrated artillery fire.
Israeli overnight strikes targeted:
- Mayfadoun (Nabatieh), killing four people;
- Shaqra (Bint Jbeil);
- Majdal Selm (Marjayoun), killing one person;
- Qatrani (Jezzine), killing three people;
- Debbine and Shoumariyeh (Marjayoun);
- Outskirts of Khiam and on the Tamerieh area, near the villages of Touline and Majdal Selm (Marjayoun);
- Taybeh, Yater, Deir Serian, Qantara (Marjayoun);
- Qleileh (Sour);
- Deir al-Khreibeh, on the outskirts of the town of Rashaya al-Fakhar (Hasbaya).
