U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — who is also the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump — have canceled their trip to Israel, scheduled for Tuesday, sources told The Jerusalem Post and Haaretz.

The visit was set to take place as the first rift between the United States and Israel over their operations in Iran was revealed, with American officials telling the Post they were surprised by the scope of Saturday’s Israeli military strike on Iranian oil installations.

This disagreement was highlighted by the contradictory positions expressed Sunday by Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a staunch supporter of Israel.

No comment has been made by the United States or Israel regarding the reason for the trip’s cancellation.
