The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced Friday that traffic measures will be implemented in Beirut, in the area stretching from Beshara al-Khoury Avenue and Omar Ben Khattab Street up to the road leading to the edge of Beshara al-Khoury Avenue, towards Barbir. The stated reason is the replacement of water pipes and road asphalt paving.
The ISF statement specifies that "work will be carried out during the night of Nov. 7 to 8, from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., and on the night of Nov. 8 to 9 during the same hours."
Traffic will be diverted in the area in front of the Beshara al-Khoury statue toward the Kaskas neighborhood starting at 7 a.m. on Nov. 8 and will remain so until the asphalt paving work is completed on Saeb Salam Avenue, at the Abdel Nasser intersection.
