After the war between Iran and Israel, it is necessary to establish peace agreements between Israel, Syria, and Lebanon, U.S. envoy for Syria Tom Barrack stated on Sunday to the Turkish state agency Anadolu.

"President al-Sharaa indicated that he does not hate Israel and that he wishes for peace on this border. I believe this will also happen with Lebanon. An agreement with Israel is necessary," he said.

The war between Iran and Israel offers an opportunity for a "new path" in the Middle East, Barrack asserted. "What just happened between Israel and Iran is the opportunity for all of us to say, 'Pause! Let's create a new path,' and Turkey is a key element of this new path," he said.

He also stated that the disagreement between Turkey and the United States over the F-35 fighter jet program, as well as over U.S. sanctions imposed on Ankara, should be resolved.

"I am confident that we will have the opportunity to find a solution by the end of the year. I am convinced that they will resolve the issue," he declared in reference to Turkey's exclusion from the F-35 program and American sanctions against Ankara.
