BEIRUT — Killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei "will end the conflict" between Israel and Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday in an interview with the American television network ABC.
"This will not lead to an escalation of the conflict, it will end the conflict," the Israeli leader responded when asked about Donald Trump's opposition to an Israeli plan to eliminate the Iranian supreme leader.
When asked whether Israel would actually target Khamenei, Netanyahu replied that his country "was doing what it had to do."
