A new festival, an international star, prestigious guests, a legendary venue: on Sept. 13, the Beirut Hippodrome will come alive with the sounds of "The Trumpets of Michel-Ange," the latest project by Ibrahim Maalouf. For the first edition of "Festival L’Orient-Le Jour," the trumpet virtuoso will stop in the Lebanese capital for a landmark concert that celebrates boldness, transmission and freedom.

A whole world is drawn into the brassy breath of T.O.M.A., the 19th album by the Franco-Lebanese artist. Conceived as a musical manifesto, the project defies genre boundaries, fuses traditions and builds a sonic bridge between East and West. Festive yet introspective, popular yet sophisticated, the album is marked by a bold innovation: the creation of a new quarter-tone trumpet — a living tribute to the invention of his father, Nassim Maalouf — designed to democratize a musical language long pushed to the margins.

What have we accomplished?

2025, a year of hope

But Ibrahim Maalouf isn’t just offering a concert to Beirut — it’s a complete experience. An immersive journey. A call to collectively dream of a different future. That is precisely the ambition behind "Festival L’Orient-Le Jour," whose first edition will take place on Sept. 12, 13 and 14, 2025. Three days of debates, talks, exhibitions, concerts, discoveries and other surprises aim to spark reflection on the Middle East of tomorrow, under the theme A Wind of Freedom.

This cultural, intellectual and festive gathering will bring together inspiring voices, talents from near and far, and the entire editorial team of L’Orient-Le Jour.

Curious minds, urban explorers, music lovers and builders of utopias are invited to a celebration of thought in motion. From roundtable discussions with leading voices from the region to souks and guided tours, the event promises a unique immersion into the imaginations and aspirations of our time.

The countdown has begun. Beirut is getting ready to come alive — stay tuned for the full program!

Tickets for the concert are available at: Ticketing Box Office.
