On Friday, Israel intensified its military operations in Gaza, causing observers to fear the worst for two million people already pushed into displacement centers and deprived of all food and supplies. Then on Sunday, the Israeli army launched a ground offensive, whereby its troops, under cover of intense airstrikes, spread deeper into the north and the south of Gaza.The operation, dubbed "Gideon's Chariots" and described by the military as "extensive," involves the mobilization of five new divisions.
