This is the fourth Israeli airstrike this week targeting a central area of Beirut, while the majority of Israeli attacks have focused on the southern suburbs, a Hezbollah stronghold.

On Sunday, a strike targeted the Syrian Baath Party headquarters in Ras al-Nabeh, where several officials from Hezbollah's media relations office were present. The head of this office, Mohammad Afif, was killed in the raid along with several colleagues.
