According to L'Orient Today's correspondent, an airstrike targeted the surroundings of the Jarmash area, near the Syrian-Lebanese border.
On X, the Arabic-language spokesperson for the Israeli army attempted to put an end to the controversy caused by the video of two Israeli soldiers filmed burning a Lebanese flag.
"Since the beginning of the war against Hezbollah, we have made it clear: Our war is not against the Lebanese people, but against those who violate the land of Lebanon, burn its sovereignty and desecrate its symbols ... This is why we consider the burning of the Lebanese flag by some soldiers in south Lebanon to be an act that violates the instructions, does not correspond to the values of the Israeli army and is not in line with the objectives of our military activities in Lebanon."
Qatar confirmed on Saturday that it had suspended its mediation for a cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip until Palestinian Hamas and Israel demonstrate "will and seriousness" in negotiations.
"Ten days ago, during the last [negotiations] to try to reach an agreement, Qatar informed the parties that it intends to suspend its mediation efforts between Hamas and Israel if an agreement is not reached during this round," foreign affairs spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said in a statement. "Qatar will resume them when the parties show the will and seriousness" to end hostilities, he added.
L'Orient Today's correspondent reported five Israeli strikes in the area of the city of Nabatieh, in the direction of Zebdine. The slaughterhouse district, the nuns' district and al-Bayad al-Mashaa street were hit.
The Ministry of Health updated the toll of the Israeli strike on Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, in south Lebanon.
The eight dead included six medics from the al-Rissala Scouts Association, linked to the Amal Movement, a medic linked to Hezbollah's health committee and a civilian. The ministry also reported 12 injured.
In a message on X, Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that the Israeli army had bombed "over the weekend, more than 100 targets" and killed "dozens" of fighters in various regions of Lebanon.
The Ministry of Health updated its toll of the Israeli strikes that targeted the Bekaa and more specifically the regions of Baalbeck and Hermel, and now reports 20 dead and 14 wounded. The village of Knaysseh has 11 killed out of this total, compared to five in Hadath Baalbeck and two each in the villages of Jamalieh, Nabi Sheet and Majdaloun.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 11 people were killed in Israeli strikes on the south of the country since yesterday.
The son and brother of the regional leader of the Amal Movement in Jabal Amel, Hajj Ali Ismail, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Deir Qanoun al-Ain (Bint Jbeil), according to L'Orient Today's correspondent.
Hezbollah fighters announced that they had renewed, in a letter, their oath of allegiance to the party's new secretary-general, Naim Qassem, elected on Oct. 29 to succeed Hassan Nasrallah. The latter had been assassinated on Sept. 27 by a massive strike by the Israeli army in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
In the letter, the fighters promise to embody "the supreme right hand" of the new secretary=general, to effectively execute his decisions, to fulfill his "promises," and to be the "righteous arrow in the liver of the enemies of God and humanity."
Hezbollah announced in a statement that it launched a squadron of drones on a gathering of Israeli army forces operating east of Maroun al-Ras (Bint Jbeil).
- In Bekaa, there are 10 killed in Knayssem, as well as one killed and two wounded in Tall al-Abiad, three lightly wounded in Majdaloun, two dead and one wounded in Nabi Sheet and one wounded in Qsarnaba, reported L'Orient Today's correspondent.
- In south Lebanon, Israel targeted Debbine (Marjayoun), local residents reported.
Here’s an update of Hezbollah attacks against Israeli positions:
- The party said it targeted at 5:45 p.m. Israeli "artillery positions responsible for shelling southern villages and cities with cluster bombs, located in Haggoshrim in the Galilee, with rocket volleys."
- Hezbollah said that at 11:00 a.m. it targeted “the Haifa Technical Base (an Israeli Air Force base that houses a training academy for preparing air force technicians) in Haifa with a volley of advanced missiles.”
Seven rescuers were killed in the Israeli strike on Deir Qanoun al-Nahr (Sour), according to L'Orient Today's correspondent.
Caretaker Minister of Telecommunications Johnny Corm announced at the end of the week a series of changes to the procedures for joining and terminating the fixed-line telephone network administered by Ogero, imposed by the security context due to the intensification of clashes between Hezbollah and Israel.

Israel targeted Deir Qanoun al-Nahr (Sour), and initial reports indicate injuries, L'Orient Today's correspondent reported.
Hezbollah said it targeted "for the first time, the Malam military factory (which is linked to air defense and missile systems). The factory, located 132 kilometers south of the Lebanese-Palestinian border, near the city of Tel Aviv, was struck by a volley of advanced missiles."
In a new general assessment of the Israeli war against Lebanon, the Ministry of Health now counts 3,136 killed and 13,979 wounded, including 19 killed and 91 wounded on Friday alone.
In a message on X, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran "does not want nuclear weapons, period."

The Israeli military said on Saturday that security guidelines for residents of northern Israel had been relaxed from "partial activity" to "full activity," with gatherings now limited to 2,000 people, according to Reuters.
Five people were killed in an Israeli strike on Hanaway (Sour), according to a medical source contacted by L'Orient Today.

Israeli soldiers filmed themselves burning a Lebanese flag in a video that is making the rounds on social media.
According to Palestinian journalist Younes Tirawi, who first posted the video on X, the soldiers were from the Golani Brigade, deployed in south Lebanon.
Washington Post correspondent Joseph Haboush said the scene was filmed in Mais al-Jabal, a Lebanese town in the Marjeyoun district, where the Israeli army and Hezbollah have clashed in recent days.
Israel targeted Housh and Burj Rahal (Sour), local residents told L'Orient Today's correspondent.
A Hamas official told AFP that the movement had received "no request to leave Qatar."
Here is an update on the security situation:

The city of Sour paid tribute to the five martyrs of the Dabouk family (Ali, Ghazwa, Fadaa, Rabab and Alisar Dabouk), killed in yesterday's airstrike.
The Israeli army has bombed the town of Adloun, (Saida) according to L'Orient Today's correspondent. This is not the first time that the Israeli army has targeted this town, located about 40 kilometers from the border with Israel and on whose territory are the Adloun caves, among the oldest installations in Lebanon dating back to prehistory, discovered towards the end of the 19th century.
Qatar withdrew its mediation in the Gaza war, which pits Israel against the Palestinian movement Hamas, according to a diplomatic source quoted by AFP.
A senior U.S. administration official told Reuters on Friday night that the United States had informed Qatar that Hamas' presence in Doha was no longer acceptable after the Palestinian group rejected the latest offer for a ceasefire and the release of hostages.
According to L'Orient Today's correspondent, an Israeli strike on the town of Jbel al-Botm (Sour) left three dead, whose bodies were discovered under the rubble.

An Israeli air strike targeted Haniyeh (Sour), causing casualties, according to local residents.
The Islamic Supreme Council, the Sunni community's highest body, called on Saturday for the implementation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701, in order to end the war.
Israeli army troops operated “on the outskirts of the village of Shebaa, an area used as a launching site for attacks on the Golan Heights, including the recent rocket attack on a playground in Majdel Shams that killed 12 children,” the army said on X.
It claimed to have dismantled “underground infrastructure, rocket launchers, weapons stockpiles and military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah.”
The situation in southern Lebanon
- Israeli warplanes raided Batoulieh (Sour) and the area between al-Hosh and Ain Baal (Sour).
- At 3:05 p.m., Hezbollah targeted the Meron air operations base with “a salvo of rockets.”
Lebanon's outgoing Interior Minister, Bassam Mawlawi, announced that “the Ministry, in collaboration with the Internal Security Forces (ISF), the army and the Education and Higher Education Ministry, will work to evacuate Beirut's private schools to allow their pupils to return as soon as possible, once alternative accommodation has been secured for the displaced people currently staying in these buildings.”
Alarm sirens sounded in central Israel following the “infiltration of a hostile aircraft,” said the Israeli army, quoted by Reuters.
Some 30 Hezbollah rockets were fired at the Haifa suburbs and Acre during the last barrage, the Israeli army claimed, according to Haaretz.
Israel targeted an area between al-Hosh and Ain Baal (Sour), residents told our correspondent in the South.
Hezbollah claimed to have targeted Ma'alot-Tarshiha, opposite Aitaroun (Bint Jbeil), for the second time today at 2 p.m.

A young man was killed after being targeted while riding his motorcycle on the road between Majadel and Shehabieh (Sour), according to our correspondent in the South.
The Health Ministry released a report on the strikes on the city of Sour today, stating that seven people were killed, including two children, and 46 injured. Efforts continue to find missing persons under the rubble.
Update on Hezbollah attacks against Israel
- Hezbollah claimed to have targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at Manara, opposite Markaba (Marjayoun), at 11:30 a.m.
- It also targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Ibad site, opposite Kfar Shuba (Hasbaya), at 11:30 a.m.
- The party also shot down an Israeli Hermes 450 drone with a surface-to-air missile at 8 a.m., which fell in the village of Deir Serian (Marjayoun). Israeli warplanes then attacked it.
- At 12:45 p.m., Hezbollah targeted the town of Bar'am with a “salvo of rockets.”
Update on the situation in southern Lebanon
- Israeli raids targeted Khiam (Marjayoun).
- A house was targeted in the Baydar district, in the village of Harouf (west of Nabatieh). Ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
- Israeli warplanes targeted Khirbet Silm and burj Qalaway (Bint Jbeil).

“Trump must show that he is not following the mistaken policies of the past,” Iranian Vice President for Strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif told reporters.
Gaza's Health Ministry has announced a new death toll of 43,552 in the Palestinian territory since the start of the war.
At least 44 people have been killed in the last 24 hours, it said in a statement, adding that 102,765 people had been wounded in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023.

Famine looms in the northern Gaza Strip as Israeli army operations intensify and food aid comes to a virtual standstill, warns a U.N. report.
This report from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) warns of “an imminent and substantial likelihood of famine, due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip.”
“Famine thresholds may have already been crossed, or may be crossed in the near future,” the report says.
Six people were killed in Israeli strikes on Lebbaya and Majdal Balhis, in the western Bekaa, according to our correspondent in the region Sarah Abdallah.
Iran has warned that the war in Gaza and Lebanon could spread to other regions outside the Middle East.
“The world must know that if the war spreads, its harmful effects will not be limited to the Middle East region alone,” warned Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in a speech broadcast on state television. “Insecurity and instability can spread to other regions, even far away,” he added.

At dawn, Israeli warplanes attacked the villages of Qabrikha, Souaneh, Majdal Silm, Bint Jbeil and Shaqra, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
At the same time, Israeli artillery fire targeted Bint Jbeil, Braasheet and Majdal Silm.
Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced this morning the killing of 14 people in two Israeli strikes, one “on a school,” the other on a camp of “tents for displaced persons.”
Three salvos of rockets were fired this morning from southern Lebanon in the direction of Israeli positions, reports our correspondent.
An update on the situation in southern Lebanon on Friday night
- At 11 p.m., the Israeli army booby-trapped and blew up a building under construction in Mais al-Jabal that was supposed to become the village seraglio, the president of the Mais al-Jabal municipality told our southern Lebanon correspondent Mountasser Abdallah.
The Civil Defense of the Amal movement, the al-Rissala scouts, said the death toll from Friday's raids on Sour now stands at nine killed, including a child and a pregnant woman, and 38 wounded. Search and rescue operations were suspended until this morning, due to the presence of Israeli drones flying low over the area.
- At midnight, a raid targeted an area between Nabatieh Fawqa and Nabatieh Tahta. Two air strikes targeted Shihine.
- At 2 a.m., two air strikes targeted Nabatieh, without causing any injuries.
Update on the situation on the Lebanese-Israeli border this morning
- Israeli raids targeted houses in Ansar (Nabatieh) and Khiam (Marjayoun).
- At 9 a.m., Hezbollah targeted the Zovulun military industrial base, north of Haifa, with “a salvo of rockets.”
According to our newspaper, Amos Hochstein, the envoy of current President Joe Biden, is expected in Beirut next week, as Israel continues to step up its strikes against Lebanon.
On Friday, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued a statement accusing Israel of having “destroyed and removed two of the blue barrels [physically] marking the U.N. withdrawal line between Lebanon and Israel.”
This refers to the Blue Line behind which the Israeli army withdrew after the liberation of southern Lebanon in May 2000, and which serves as the border between the two countries.
“The peacekeepers directly observed the Israeli army withdrawing one of them,” the statement added.
This morning, the Israeli army claimed to have targeted “Hezbollah terrorist targets in the southern suburbs of Beirut” overnight.
“Last night, air force planes, under the direction of the Military Intelligence Authority, attacked a command headquarters, a weapons production site and other infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut,” said the troop's Arabic-speaking spokesman Avichay Adraee on X.
Violent Israeli strikes targeted Beirut's southern suburbs on Friday evening, following a call by the Israeli army to evacuate the area.
Some 15 strikes targeted the area around the Lebanese University in the Hadath district, Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik and the so-called “Americans” district (Hayy al-Amerken).
