The UN said Monday it expects nearly two million people to flee conflict-torn Sudan for neighboring countries by the end of the year, more than doubling its aid appeal to $1 billion.
The United Nations refugee agency said it and partners "today appealed for $1 billion to provide essential aid and protection to over 1.8 million people expected to arrive in five neighboring countries by the end of 2023, fleeing the ongoing conflict in Sudan."
