BEIRUT — Lebanon's National Center of Geophysics recorded a two small earthquakes in Syria on Saturday.
The first earthquake occurred at 3:31 p.m. in the city of Homs, with a magnitude of 4.4 degrees on the Richter scale. The second quake struck at 4:27 p.m., in the same location as the first, with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale.
The earthquakes were 135 kilometers from Beirut, but were felt by residents in some regions in Lebanon, the state-run National News Agency reported.
