A commercial ship collides with a Tripoli island, all passengers rescued

BEIRUT — A commercial ship collided on Thursday evening with an island off of Tripoli's coast, North Lebanon, sustaining minor damages as all passengers were evacuated and rescued, our correspondent in the north reported.

The commercial Med Bridge ship which was sailing from Turkey to dock in Tripoli's port collided with al-Rankin island off of Tripoli and is to be hauled to Tripoli's port with a continuous follow-up from the Naval Forces Command of the Army, the General Directorate of Maritime Transport, and the administration of the Tripoli Port Authority.
