BEIRUT — The army has destroyed two grenades found on a roadside in the Beddawi area of Tripoli on Thursday morning, L'Orient Today's correspondent in the region reported.
Here's what we know:
• The two explosive devices were found Thursday morning. The army deployed to the scene and formed a security cordon, before proceeding with a controlled detonation of the grenades. It remains unknown how the explosives came to be on the side of the road.
• Tripoli is regularly the scene of security incidents, and, like elsewhere in the country, weapons circulate easily, often escaping the control of the authorities.
