Sahar Mandour is a Lebanese-Egyptian novelist and journalist, born in Beirut to a Lebanese mother and an Egyptian father. She studied psychology at Saint Joseph University and earned a master’s degree in media studies from SOAS (University of London). From 1998 to 2017, she worked at the daily newspaper as-Safir, covering women’s issues, social movements and culture. Since 2017, she has been a Lebanon research specialist at Amnesty International.She is the author of five novels in Arabic: "I’ll draw a star on Vienna’s Forehead," "Beiruti Love," "32" (translated into English), "Mina," and "The One-Eyed Black Cat."
