BEIRUT — A major fire broke out at a factory in the Mkalles area along the Mansourieh road on Monday morning, according to L’Orient Today photographer Mohammad Yassine, who was at the scene.
Based on information gathered by Yassine, the facility appears to be a metal factory located near several electric generators.

Thick plumes of smoke could be seen from several kilometers away, as Civil Defense teams were deployed to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and no official information was available regarding the extent of the damage or any possible casualties.
