BEIRUT — The Civil Defense said Friday it recovered the body of a drowning victim shortly after 3 p.m. on the Amchit coastline (Jbeil district, Mount Lebanon), an area affected by high waves and strong currents. The body was transferred to a nearby hospital.
The agency renewed its warning against swimming over the next two days due to adverse weather conditions, including strong winds and high waves, urging the public to avoid dangerous areas and follow safety instructions.
It also reminded citizens that it can be reached in emergencies at 125 or via WhatsApp at 70/192693.
