An Islamic Jihad official was killed along with his daughter overnight Sunday to Monday in an Israeli strike on Baalbeck, our correspondent in the region reports.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, an Israeli drone struck an apartment at the southern entrance of the city of Baalbeck, killing Wael Abdel Halim. He was with his daughter, Rama Abdel Halim, 17, who also died, while three other people were wounded in the attack. Another nighttime Israeli airstrike targeted a road near the Litani River in Sohmor (West Bekaa), without causing any casualties.

Despite the 45-day extension of the cease-fire in Lebanon, Israel continues to relentlessly target southern Lebanon and occasionally the Bekaa. For its part, Hezbollah says it is retaliating for these attacks, targeting, among other things, Israeli soldiers and military posts in South Lebanon, where the occupying force has established a "buffer zone."

On Monday morning, Israel carried out a strike on Deir Zahrani, in the Nabatieh district, according to our correspondent in the region. This strike targeted a building on the village's main road, damaging other houses and several nearby cars. The missile impact created a crater in the middle of the main road.

An Israeli strike on a house in Batoulieh injured three people.

Israeli soldiers also carried out a sweep operation in Khiam (Marjayoun). They also targeted villages in the districts of Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, Jezzine, and Saida.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed ten operations on Sunday, including many suicide drone attacks against Israeli troops and military vehicles across occupied Lebanese villages in the south.
