BEIRUT — A Palestinian child has been killed on average every week in the occupied West Bank since January 2025 in attacks by settlers or Israeli soldiers, for a total of 70 during this period, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said Tuesday.

"Children are paying an intolerable price as a result of the escalation of military operations and attacks across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Thus, between January 2025 and today, at least one Palestinian child on average has been killed every week in the occupied West Bank, including in Jerusalem under Israeli control," UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said at a press briefing in Geneva.
