The Lebanese Army stated on Saturday in a statement that it successfully freed three people who had been kidnapped in northern Lebanon.
“On July 4, 2025, following a series of surveillance and security tracking operations, an Intelligence Directorate patrol managed to free the citizens M.H., M.A. and D.H. in the city of Hermel, after they were lured there from the North region and then kidnapped due to financial disputes,” the statement specifies.
An investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, and searches continue to arrest those involved, the statement adds without further details.
