Iran gave its 'blood, not its honor' in war with Israel, says top diplomat
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his countrymen gave "their blood" during the 12-day war with Israel, but not "their honor," as Iran held national funerals for military commanders killed in the conflict.
"The Iranians gave their blood, not their land; they gave their loved ones, not their honor; they endured a rain of 1,000-ton bombs, but they did not surrender," Araghchi wrote on Instagram, adding that "Iran does not know the word 'surrender.'"

The Israeli army also warned residents in the areas of Nuseirat, Zahr and Maghraba, including the neighborhoods of North Coast, Nozha, Bawadi, Basma, Bassatine, Badr, Abu Huraira, Rawda and Safa, that it is "actively working to destroy the capabilities of terrorist organizations in these areas and will strike any zone used to launch rocket-propelled grenades."

Iran condemns Trump’s ‘disrespectful and unacceptable’ remarks on Khamenei
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks as “disrespectful and unacceptable,” after Trump claimed he had "beaten" Iran and spared Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei from an “ugly and ignominious death.”
“If President Trump truly wishes to reach an agreement, he should abandon his disrespectful and unacceptable tone toward Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and stop hurting the millions of his sincere supporters,” Araghchi wrote on his X account.
“The great and powerful Iranian people, who showed the world that the Israeli regime had no choice but to run to ‘Daddy’ to avoid being wiped out by our missiles, do not take kindly to threats and insults,” the foreign minister added. “Goodwill begets goodwill, and respect begets respect.”
In a blistering message posted today on his 'Truth Social platform', President Trump slammed Tehran for claiming victory in the 12-day war with Israel and said he was halting all work on sanction relief. He also accused Khamenei of ingratitude for downplaying the impact of U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, and for declaring that Iran had defeated Israel and “slapped” Washington.

National funerals in Iran for senior officials killed by Israel
National funerals for around 60 senior military officers and nuclear scientists killed by Israel during the war began this morning, on the fifth day of a cease-fire now under strain due to renewed threats from Donald Trump.
“The ceremony to honor the martyrs has officially begun,” announced a state TV presenter at 8 a.m., as images showed crowds gathered in central Tehran around funeral processions for “the martyrs of the war imposed by the Zionist regime.” The coffins were draped in Iranian flags and displayed portraits of the fallen commanders in uniform.
The procession began at Enghelab (Revolution) Square and was scheduled to move toward Azadi (Freedom) Square, 11 kilometers away, accompanied by Iranian pop music and a eulogy broadcast through loudspeakers.
