The International Atomic Energy Agency has said it was informed by Iran's Nuclear Regulatory Authority that there was no change in off-site radiation levels in Isfahan, the site of a uranium enrichment facility struck yesterday by Israeli forces, Reuters reports.


Earlier, the IAEA said four critical buildings at the Isfahan nuclear site had been damaged, including a uranium conversion facility and a fuel plate fabrication plant. "As in Natanz, no increase in off-site radiation expected," the agency said in a post on X.

Khamenei's top advisor, conditions initially unknown, dies in hospital after Israeli attack


Ali Shamkhani, Iran’s top adviser to its supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has died in the hospital a day after Israel launched airstrikes across the country, the Guardian reports, citing Iranian media.


Shamkhani had previously served as Iran’s top national security official for a decade and had represented Iran in the China-facilitated rapprochement talks with Saudi Arabia. After Israel's first wave of attack before dawn on Friday, there were mixed reports as to Shamkhani's condition, with some saying he had been killed and other saying he was injured.

Oman announces US-Iran nuclear talks for tomorrow have been cancelled


The latest round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks scheduled for tomorrow in Muscat will not take place, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi announced on X. Oman has been mediating the talks, which were set to have their sixth round and ahead of which Iran said it would be submitting a proposal toward an agreement.


Albusaidi's statement came a day after Israel launched a sweeping air offensive against Iran, killing commanders and scientists and bombing nuclear sites in a stated bid to stop it building an atomic weapon. More than 75 civilians were also killed in the strikes, which targeted several residential neighborhoods in Tehran.


A senior official of U.S. President Donald Trump's administration, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to Reuters that tomorrows talks had been cancelled. Washington, however, remained committed to the negotiations and hoped "the Iranians will come to the table soon," the official said.

Speaking to CNN, Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter said Iran had launched “about 150” ballistic missiles in three waves since yesterday.

He warned that the attacks were unlikely to stop, saying the Islamic Republic had a missile arsenal of nearly 2,000.

Last night, firefighters reported “several major incidents” around Tel Aviv. AFP images from central Tel Aviv showed flames and smoke rising from a residential building where an explosion had blown a large hole at the base.
